I’ve been steadily losing interest ever since the word ‘Stock’ ceased to mean anything.

The France family, once a year, gets a few bottles of whiskey and locks themselves in a conference room to determine the rule changes for the next year.
Why is that a surprise? It’s been fine for 8 years. The dogs love it, and you can get a love seat or a 6 foot display case in it. As much headroom and legroom as a Silverado.
If some of you smart car people could put my HHR body on this, let me know.
We’re not all independently wealthy. There were weeks when WalMart was the best we could afford. Do you hate equally every other company that buys cheap from overseas and lays off people? If so, I admire your fortitude. You obviously never eat at any fast-food places either.
You can’t take Chinese or Russian profits out of China or Russia. Japan has protection tariff laws. Many countries who are busy sucking our wealth out do. Maybe we should.
That was a good read. I also read that the few companies that really use machinists here are having a hard time replacing them as the old guys retire. Nobody wants to be a machinist anymore. If I wasn’t so old already, I’d love it.
Not as much. Kubota is the largest selling tractor company in America right now.
While mostly I agree that dissolving NAFTA would cost us something, I do wonder what the adjustment would be. After all, Toyota, Honda, BMW, etc... are not doing what they do out of the kindness of their hearts. Yes, they have plants here, and yes, they pay some people. But a Japanese owned company sends profits…
Meh. I have a Bulova. Eat your heart out, Richard.
True. I wonder what it would be like to have soooooooo much cash, you would be looking around for stupidly ridiculous things to buy.
When I went to Pendleton in 1975, an area of I-40 was under construction. When I moved there in 2002, they were finally finishing up.
So true. Out in California and Arizona, you see huge windmill farms and acres of solar panels. But here in North Carolina, my solar powered lights won’t even stay on in the winter.
While what you said is true, they are still going a bit overboard with it. With the sheer size of the country and it’s population, they’re literally putting manufacturing everywhere out of business just by current pricing.
That’s kind of what I thought. With more and more car parts coming from China every year, why bother? Other companies are trying to attract business in a competitive market. All China has to do is say; “half price”.
While 1000 jobs are admirable... heck, ANY jobs are admirable, I can’t shake the feeling we’re still losing.
There does seem to be some inconsistency in punishment there, doesn’t it?
Go to the shelter and get one. Save a life, because a human is too good to waste.
Star anyway. Having family in Law Enforcement, I cannot vehemently deny that some form of requirement is in place for Expected Supplemental Department Income, especially in smaller townships.
Mine doesn’t shut down, but the transmission is locked.
