That’s not a ‘sports car’.

That’s a ridiculously offhand statement to make about someone who may have their first decent job when talking about cars that hit $30,000.

All true. I remember the guy finding the Partridge Family bus rotting behind some business in LA. That’s the one I wanted.

While not as eloquently put, I share the feelings. As a vet who has actually had to depend on various pieces of equipment, literally for my life, this is scary.

Technically, it’s not a wagon.

I don’t think the tranny was $1,800, though. You could pull a 700R4 off any old Silverado or Caprice wagon for a few hundred.

I believe he means the fancy chromed shotguns.

Nice idea, that. Sell products that violate your own warranty to customers.

True. I have put on 5 pounds since 1999.

I’m not fat!

It’s because it doesn’t entirely look like Bosch supplied basic software, and then supreme hackers at VW put all that other stuff in. It’s more like it was put in there from burning the ROMs. Bosch handed it to them with a; “We put this test code in there, but you must promise to never, ever turn it on.” Wink, wink.

That’s why I went for the HHR rather than the GT. More headroom.

If it wasn’t for the Mazda engine, I might have called this guy.

The thing was, we got absolutely nothing new or better by being annexed. Nothing. Except more taxes.

Mine was the opposite. Where I live in NC is either the suburbs, or the outback, depending on your point of view. We only had county taxes.

Unless you live in a demilitarized zone, I’ve never seen the city lower values. They go up and up. The city pays the appraiser. The city collects taxes. It’s never in their interest to lower anything. At least not around here.

That’s logical. Maybe I just hung out with smarter people. A friend saved $2000 because he bought a Mazda pickup instead of a Ranger. Said the thing was about 90% Ranger anyway.

Only the official city appraiser. I’ve never seen them lower values on any property they collect taxes on. Ever. You can burn it down and pile toxic waste on it, and the city won’t de-value it.

The problem is, it never lowers your taxes. Just lowers what people would pay for the house.

Not always that much fun. Had one once. He had a problem getting ready for a race. I had to get some sleep for a big deal the next day. Not that great all the time.
