Correction above: It’s not twin-turbo. It’s “twin-power” turbo. AKA, single turbo with marketing gibberish.

This is a pointless thing to focus on. If anyone wants to go over 180, they can surely modify the car to be able to do so. The other 99.999999999% just need it to be louder than the screaming crowd it’s just plowed into.
Soooo the dealership doesn’t offer like...I dunno...a 500 mile warranty after tearing open the motor and doing valve springs? That’s crazy.
B58 is attached to a manual in plenty of cars. Just not this one. Case in point: my daily driver 340i.
If they put some time and effort into the B58 the car already has, they’d likely be pretty amazed by its capabilities as well...but fanboys gotta fanboy.
I think the XtraBoost is actually in addition to the 252HP, not included with it. The previous 330e made 248 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque.
Interesting and good to know.
Nobody else agrees. ;P
So buy a Tacoma because it will be worth a million dollars no matter how long you park it.
There really is essentially no reason to buy the new Ranger.
Their uniqueness isn’t just in the styling. I recently picked up a 2014 Forester MANUAL. I know Subaru is slowing killing manuals like everyone else, but as of right now you can get one in a brand-new BRZ, Crosstrek, Impreza, WRX, and manual-only STi. That’s unique these days. Plus their cars are all running boxer…
The part I find most sad is that these are getting the new M3 motor before, well, the M3. So now when the M3 comes out you can be like, yeah so this is the motor they put in that SUV for the last few years. Just seems backwards. But hey I guess these fuckers print money so....
Unpopular Opinion: I actually like it. I keep seeing mildly lifted and AT-tired Crosstreks and they make me smile. But I just can’t get past the shitty power those things make. 200hp and decent MPG, AWD, plus the ability to handle crumbling roads and some mild dirt trails....doesn’t sound awful.
Totally agree. It’s nice to just drive off with the car how you like it.
The brembos are pretty much a waste though. You can go aftermarket wilwood and save weight, money, and have better stopping power.
Ugh, if only they fixed the Engine/Trans. The current taco is a no deal for me with the automatic and even with the stick it’s still annoying thanks to the 3.5l’s torque dip and shitty throttle response. Pair that with the shitty seating position and it’s double meh.
As a Californian, I always get super confused when I read about “rust issues” with Mazdas.
Yeah, almost every DI car I’ve owned has had either weird ticks or (in the case of the BRZ) fuel pump chirps.
Yeah this is nightmare fuel. As someone that owns a full M-swapped e46 325 wagon, I never love the thought of my insurance company totaling and valuing my wagon at $3,000.
