It sounds like a toned down version of my 340i with DINAN exhaust.

You can get an M2 Competition for this money. An actual S-motor, manual transmission, serious business diff/brakes/suspension, etc. Plus you have BMW dealer experience, meaning nice (free) loaners, maintenance, and techs that understand all the BMW parts.
Is this thing F150-based? Ranger-based?
haha yeah
I’m playing a movie in my head, where tires are living things that can talk to each other. They all have different personalities...all-season highway tires are slow, go-with-the-flow types. There’s sports tires that act cocky but don’t really perform like they think they can, and make lots of mistakes. A/T tires with…
I’m so tired of this idiot and his clueless base.
That looks straight up Korean Gangster. Sick as fuck. The wheels set it off.
It looks nice and I give props to anyone that does a proper manual install, but it’s got a ton of miles. Without the swap, it’s worth about $14k. With the swap, it’s worth about.........$14k. LOL. OK maybe you can find someone that loves the manual swap so much that they’d pay $16 or $17k for it.
nice. The 8 speed is so good on these cars, you’ve got nothing to be ashamed of.
Bummer. I test drove the regular one with the 6 speed. Loved the ride quality, interior was comfy, and it was cheap. But OH MY GOD it was dangerously slow. There was no way I could find it safe to drive on Southern California freeways, plus I live up in the hills and I couldn’t fathom dealing with the lack of power…
Yeah, they had inflated residuals at the time. Right now, not so much.
It all grows back pretty quickly though. I travel a canyon road quite similar to this route every day and the area suffered a string of fires this summer. It looked apocalyptic for a few weeks, but the natural shrubbery started coming back soon after, and thanks to some California transportation funding initiatives,…
Damn, my leased 340i stickered around 55. I put zero down and pay under $600/mo for 36 month/45k miles.
Ummmm...k. I’ve owned one for over 2 years, been involved in the tuning community for 20 years, and seen dozens of stock b58 dynos (from a plethora of different dynos), and just as many tuned ones. BMW has been underrating engines since their cars went turbo. It is a fact that these cars make around crank HP numbers…
I like that it blends. Makes it easy to use the power and not attract attention.
Except the horsepower numbers are all phooey anyway. The 2016 340i was rated at 320hp but made 330+ horsepower at the wheels. So really, it made more like 380hp. I’m curious as to whether this new car is as underrated, or if they are just claiming more accurate numbers while appearing to look like they made progress.
This article gave me a massive nerd boner. Thanks.
It’s also never as fun as a real limited-slip differential.
I must be a psychopath because after taking the MM tests a few times over the years, my results were always: no preference to sex/age/profession/homeless/criminal, but always save the humans over animals, and only swerve to preserve occupant life if the pedestrians are crossing on red.
