Hey, I was right with my B58 guess all this time. I should win a supra for that. I’ll even take the B48 version.
looks like it would collect bacteria in the little crevices.

I’m still guessing B58 motor. In 240i guise it makes 335hp/369tq, but it makes that torque in a lot more places than the F cars, so one might already consider it “on par” with the F. I’d guess it’s tuned upward a pinch....say 360hp/380tq (easily achievable based on even BMW’s own MPPSK tune).
Funny, one time on my way back from Arizona (but in CA) I was passing a line of cars and doing 140. I saw a hidden CHP so I slammed on my brakes and jumped into the line of cars. My wife hit me a bunch of times, telling me that I’m going to jail. The cop lit me up, pulled me over, and while I was busy shitting my…
It doesn’t sound like an m3 at all. Sounds like the B58 (2/3/4/5..40i)
That understeer was painful. Even after the mods.
There’s no sense of humor. Just someone that isn’t a car person doing the ads.
First time I saw helicopters doing flips at an air show, I about shit my pants. I had no idea they could do that.
You guys seem kind of retarded.
Pro-Tip: You can disable the heavy steering in sport mode. It’s an option in the iDrive. Unfortunately you can’t disable it in Sport+, but it’s worth disabling in Sport. I have my 340i setup with soft steering and soft suspension in Sport mode, that way I get the throttle pops and better throttle response, without the…
When we were shopping to replace the wife’s BMW 3-series wagon, I couldn’t even get her to look at the Buick. The Buick badge alone was too much of a downside in her mind. I realize this may sound like she’s a luxury car whore, but that’s simply untrue. She has no trouble looking at Subarus, Mazdas, Toyotas,…
I dunno, the article used the term lumbering and said that they had a T6 and it does 0-60 in 5.8, but doesn’t feel fast. We recently sold our F31 328ix and it did 0-60 in around the same time, but felt peppy. Sometimes the “sport” programming of the throttle and trans really make the car wake up. We considered the a4…
As a multi-wagon owner, I must say this is one sexy bitch. But families shopping this segment DO care about performance. BMW and Audi seem to still offer a bit more performance in this category, and their wagons are lighter and get better fuel mileage. So this being lazy and lumbering aren’t ideal attributes. Families…
That’s an old-ass Chevy Blazer dude. They had a 4.3l v6 FWIW, and are worth about $10 now, so I doubt this guy can afford anything.
:( Sorry, no. Sold it two years ago or so. I picked it up in dire need of suspension, bushings, wheels, tires, brakes, brake lines...so I did all those things and figured I would keep it around for a while but alas, my automotive ADD got the best of me. At least I helped the e24 live a bit longer.
HAH! You nailed a lot of my life, but my wife isn’t that old and we’re only 2 minutes from the country club. In my case, wife didn’t like it. Said she hates sitting up high.
I guess I just don’t have that many friends.
