My only beef with the scooters is not actually with the scooters at all. It’s with people. People are fucking dicks and they knock the scooters over, throw them in trees, toss them in rivers, bays, etc. Fuck people.
It’s pretty awesome that they kept the 4wd and beefed it up so that it’s still usable.
I like the idea of the LSD on the manual cars. That’s one area where BMW has really dropped the ball. Unless you pony up for the “M”, you don’t get LSD. Sure, some models offer a dealer-installed $3k+ optional LSD, but you never find those on the lots.
Efficiency is almost always worth comparing. Doesn’t have anything to do with dicks. People would often brag that the S2k was amazing due to HP/Liter (it was), but at he same time, there were larger motors that made similar power, while also sipping less fuel than the s2k.
Hence why I also mentioned the power under the curve. Mazda’s motor makes torque early and holds flat in a way that Honda couldn’t dream of back in the early VTEC days.
I factor mileage into every car decision. Sports car or not. I drive a lot of miles so if CAR A can get 15% better mileage than CAR B, but both cars have similar performance characteristics, the mileage might be enough to swing me one way or the other.
Let’s not forget that the miata also has better TQ/weight ratio than even the AP2 s2k.
Not in California, I can’t.
But that thang ain’t coming to Amerika
I’m with you. They are fun. I had a few mile trek downtown San Diego and I was drunk, so I thought YEEHAAW this will be great. My friends and wife disagreed and they started walking. It took me a few minutes to get the app insalled, my ID scanned, etc...but once I did I was zipping away.
I found the pace to be quick.…
Why are you writing about a car that replaced the M235i 2 years ago?
I had one with the stick back in 2014. It was enough power. It wasn’t fast, but I had no trouble out-pacing traffic when I wanted to.
An M3 is a lot more than just a 330i with more power. You get carbon fiber bits, lightweight suspension components, big brakes, big wheels, more aggressive bodywork, beefed up cooling system, trick differential...the list goes on. For Tesla to truly compete with the likes of M, AMG, and RS; they need a lot more than…
I don’t think I base my city driving on the absolute worst case scenarios like you do. Just typical city, low-speed, stop/go, some traffic, etc. As for auto start/stop, I don’t use that either.
WHAT? We just put 85k miles on a 328i wagon with AWD and it had no trouble getting low 20s in the city. That’s with more power, more weight, and AWD disadvantages.
How’s the CVT? Is it tolerable? Is it “as good” as Mazda’s 6 speed auto? And the new motor...how does it compare to the rest of the competition?
Sorry but, if you are dying this way...well...you’re probably not that useful as a human anymore. Proximity keys are not confusing or dangerous.
You did your depreciation backwards. Putname is assuming it will depreciate $2,220,340. Which, it will not. So they profit greatly.
After I test drove one, I questioned every single big-wheel upgrade Crosstrek I’ve seen roaming around town.
