Does the stock fuel system have the ability to run any e85 mix with these tunes? Or is it pretty much maxed out on flow. Anyone know?

If YOU, personally disagree with abortion to undo a pregnancy due to “sport fucking” (btw, I have never heard that term used before, ever), that’s fantastic! It’s wonderful, really. So YOU shouldn’t get an abortion.

Nobody pays $60 for an eighth of shitty, mex. If anything, the cops are over-estimating the value.

No. Full disclosure, I’ve owned a BRZ and my wife currently has a 328i (same engine as the 228i), so I have followed these cars more than the average Joe.

The 228 has a lot more than 40hp on the BRZ. In the real world, the BRZ dynos ~160whp. The 228 dynos ~230whp. Yes, the BMW is underrated from the factory. So we’re talking a 70 wheel horsepower advantage to the BMW, and even more torque advantage.

I bet that thing is badass...until you have DPF issues, DEF issues, oil leaks from all the various lines being run to 4 goddamn turbos, transmission and/or transfer case issues from so many torques, etc, etc, etc.

Last year I picked up an s54 swapped wagon, with M3 6spd swap, subframe swap, diff, suspension, brakes, cluster, etc, etc...plus plenty of performance goodies. I’ll just say I paid far less than 1/2 this price. Granted, mine looks like a regular 325 touring on the outside, albiet much lower and with wider rolling

Except you can get a regular 330i for less money, that goes faster, handles better, is lighter/more nimble, and gets good enough gas mileage that it would take something like 20 years of driving this hybrid to see a financial benefit.

Everyone still appreciates stick more, but they just aren’t making them as often. No, this car doesn’t come in a stick. None of the hyper- and supercars from Ferrari, Lamborghini, or McLaren come in stick anymore. It’s a shame on some levels, sure...but these cars are so fast now and have such complex drivetrain

Dear Subaru,

That isn’t 100% true. Cars post 1975 and older than (5) years old have a bi-annual smog test, but only cars older than 2000 have a tailpipe sniffer now. Anything 2000+ simply gets OBD2 scanned and visual inspection for non-CARB parts. Someone who isn’t me ;) has a modern vehicle with an engine swap, no cats, no air

San Diego BMW CCA Autocrosses are lax to drifting. We’ve got a few members that prefer to drift the courses rather than win their classes. That said, if you are a terrible drifter and you can’t stop hitting cones or you regularly spin out and endanger people, you will be discouraged to continue.

obviously the “cheapest” option is to drive around in a paid off, old car, for as long as you can possibly stand doing so. Some people actually enjoy driving new cars all the time. Whether it’s for safety, performance, reliability, status, or a combination of the above; it doesn’t really matter. If you’re in that

That’s really dumb advice. I buy most of my cars, but leasing is a great option in certain circumstances. For example: During end of year closeouts, they often inflate residuals to move cars. So, you negotiate the price of your vehicle down to whatever price you’d be willing to pay, then you move toward the lease

Am I the only one bothered that the car make and model were not defined in this article?

I’d be most curious as to what an M3 puts down on that dyno since M3's tend to put down damn near claimed crank numbers at the wheels.

swapped e46 wagon.

yes, indeedly doo

Now playing

The s54 in stock US form sounds pretty tin-ey. It can sound pretty damn great with the right exhaust and tune. Here’s mine this last weekend

While I applaud the technical capabilities of crawl control, I just can’t get over the irony of its existence. Maybe I’m jaded, but when I drive my cars, I turn off all the nannies and slide them around. When I’ve gone off-road, it’s no different. I appreciate mechanical advantages like 4wd, locking diffs, ground
