Which is why I'm glad we have both Hera and Sabine on this show. Both are strong women who are very good at what they do, and each can stand alone.

That's what I think Kanan meant when he told Ezra that admitting his fear made him braver than most. Anakin was never truly honest with himself about his fear. Not letting your fear turn into anger is the other part of that equation.

I just got a copy of the Star Wars Rebels Visual Guide, and in his foreword, Dave Filoni talks about being amazed the first time he saw A New Hope, and that maintaining the look and feel of Star Wars and moving it forward is what they're really trying to do. I really enjoy the show so far, and part of that is

I'm trying to remember…do any of the characters in the films who succumb to fear ever actually admit they're afraid? Isn't that what Kanan meant, that Ezra admitting he's afraid rather than trying to hide it is a good thing?

And Kevin Johnson, many thanks for your reviews! I enjoy reading them, and also like having a place to talk about the episodes.

Hmm. Now that the point has been raised that Ezra has long believed his parents dead, I'll bet they turn out to be alive and imprisoned somewhere. Perhaps one or both will be killed during or shortly after the inevitable rescue attempt, leading Ezra toward the dark side in his rage and grief. Wait, where have we seen

Yup, Clone Wars is canon. Check the Wookieepedia.

Interesting take. Let the Sabine lesbian fanfics begin!

You can't argue with the fact that Ezra going dark is what saved their asses.

Kanan pulling out his blaster was also a sign that he knew he was outclassed, & was getting desperate.

I'm with you on Tseebo; I was surprised how much I liked his character. His reaction when Ezra forgave him through the Force was genuinely moving, as was his motivation for getting the intel in the first place.

I thoroughly enjoyed this episode. It was exciting, and it really moved things along.

He would've had that Rodian if it hadn't been for those meddling kids!

Agreed. I have so many questions and predictions now; it'll be hard to wait until January to get started again! I'm sure I will have seen this episode several (hundred) more times by then…

All of the above, I think. Kanan grew up in the Jedi Temple, and was a Padawan about Ezra's age when Order 66 went down. In a flash, his master was gone and his whole world destroyed. He undoubtedly feels trauma from that experience. Combined with his knowledge of what has been lost and the levels of mastery he knows

Yesyesyes! It was awesome! Deep stuff with Kanan & Ezra. And lots of developments bubbling up that probably will play out in future episodes. A sweet ending, too. It blew me away.

As the saying goes, one person's terrorist is another person's freedom fighter…

Just watched Gathering Forces! Love love loved it! Best episode yet, but impossible any earlier; prior episodes really set the table for this one. Big character development for both Ezra and Kanan. Wow. And I just knew Sabine would do what she did and say what she did; a small thing, but nice. I will definitely be

Giddy? Good word! :)

And oh yes, I do! Yay, Verizon Fios! The hard part will be not being able to talk much about it on the boards until a review/recap is up…grr….
