Get a late Mercedes-Benz C-Class, AMG versions have been found for just under $30000. If your clients are into bro-trucks, you could always got with a Subaru WRX, and just tell them that you like cheap speed. But otherwise, I agree with the contributors to go old. With the right older car it is difficult to tell

I feel the same way, my first thought was the grand wagoneer (referred to as “redacted”) and second was the Land Cruiser.

Nice work and a cool idea but why?  I do not understand the purpose of this build.  Is it supposed to be a drift car project?  Once again the craftsmanship appears to be here and 15K isn’t that much considering the quality of work, the components used, and the fact that it’s working and can pass California

So true.  Just thinking of doing work on a Cooper S makes my hands hurt.

I’ve tried these. I had them made at a professional auto paint store. I was being lazy and didn’t want to have to clean the paint spray gun when I was done. I should have, the rattle cans make it hard to get an even spray pattern every pass. Also my fingers got tired using the cans. The spray gun is really the only

As an old school VW fan boy I like this car, as I get older and move away from the scene, this seems like a cliche’. The 2 door jetta is always a favorite, regardless. I also like big power in small cars but putting a VR6 in a mk2 or mk1 Golf, Jetta, or Scirocco, is usually a mistake. The heavy lump messes up the

This is a model that I have never cared for, not even the rare turbo spiders or the Europe only volumex supercharged spiders. However, this one hits all the right buttons. DOHC four cylinder, Stylish Italian marque (I love Alfas, Lancias, and Fiats but I do not like this roadster very much), 5-speed stick, rear-wheel

So, are these abandoned car essentially free?  I would gladly pay for a true Silvia 200SX for just the shipping and import price.

Coincidentally, I have an EA831 AMC spirit which is the base for my rally car build. The EA831 is only 1 of 2 engines that AMC offered with OHC, the other being the 230 Tornado. With some clever Porsche performance tuning, the EA831 will have (slightly) better performance than the 1979 30c c.i. V8 but weigh

The drivers are talented, but the race is boring and derivative. Apparently I’m not the only one who thinks so as NASCAR is rapidly losing viewership. Bring back production car homologation standards and add more road courses.........wait, that’s touring car racing.

I’d watch all those shows

This is very cool. I watch a lot of old rally videos and I would like to see this effect applied to a modern rally either WRC or ARA doesn’t matter.

I know that they do not drive well and are super dangerous but I still want one quite badly. When they become available to import to the states, even though years off, I will seriously look into purchasing one. I love the concept of mid-engined hatchbacks especially with a mid-mounted V6. I know it is 100% at fault

I own 6 cars and now that i think of it, not a single one has more than 2 passenger doors.

That’s a bummer but it looks quite fixable and I hope you had fun. Better luck on your next event.

This is an E30 resto-mod. It isn’t unusual for resto-mods of classic (mostly american cars) to have high prices. They are better than factory stock (mechanically) and are restored to like new if not to “better than available” when new. Resto-mods are not everybody’s taste however, and there are always purists, which

The hybridization and/or electrification of rally cars is (in my opinion) drastically overdue. Rally has traditionally been the rugged proving ground for new technologies and to try to cement the technology in one place has stunted the sport. That would like FISA (old FIA) telling Audi they couldn’t use their four

I couldn’t agree more.

When it comes to money, you can’t take it with you (when you die) so you might as well use it to make you happy. This coming from someone deep in the throws of a long term (currently on hold) rally build.

I would buy this as a full rebuild only. This could be a cool restorer car or make a great track-day car. In its current condition, either is an acceptable choice. I’m going to give this car a NP under the pretense that I would completely tare down the car and build it back up in a way that better suites the model
