Regardless of what people think a vehicle to be worth. Jeeps are a special breed that demand higher prices (because Jeep people). I think this Jeep is well within its price range........for a Jeep (any other car with these issues, CP). Its a CJ series Jeep, with a V8, modest lift, and manual trans. Try finding one out

This car hits all the right notes; Chrysler 2.2 turbo, Cosworth DOHC head, DeTomaso, Maserati? (Their 80's products were not well made but still Italian so great performance while running), Getrag manual trans, Crane designed cams, etc. This thing should be the perfect 80s car, but would up stuffed into a Chrysler

This car is interesting but it’s value really depends on whether the $10,000 dollars were spent on performance upgrades or repairs. I know performance upgrades do not increase the vehicle’s value, but costly repairs will hurt it.

Couldn’t agree more. The problem is getting manufacturers to build cars that can compete at the WRC level with only “simple” modifications. The manufacturer that build special one-off homologation specials will clean up. That’s what lead to the late 80s early 90s Lancia domination. I would like to see more provisions

The front end almost looks like the one Fiat/Lancia tried in the late 70s on the 030 prototipo (the half-way point between the x1/9 prototipo and the Rally 037).

This car is essentially a european version of the common resto-mod. Classic resto-mods are all the rage in the collectable car markets (I’ve never really been that in to them, they actually make me secretly hate the LS engine series). Side note: I don’t actually hate the LS, its a great engine, just over-used in

Don’t ever apologize or make concessions for what you’re in to, automotively speaking.

I think in the face of the new golf we can say as a collective, “Bring the Polo to the US!”

I’ve never been into this body style, and as you said it, the interior on this vintage of gm is terrible. However, the underpinnings of this car; LS1, T56, LSD, etc. are all good components. The issues with the condition vs the millage as pointed out in other comments gives me concern. I initially gave this a NP but

From the decades of military evidence that has slowly slipped out (the non-military evidence is less convincing and creditable), the visitors (from where ever it be; extraterrestrial, inter-dimensional, time travelers, etc.) have not shown hostile intent. They appear to only intervene to stop us from harming

Yes, yes, a thousand times yes.  I actually prefer the 200 20V turbo sedan (still have a thing for group a homologation specials) but the avant is very cool. If I were in the market for a “new” used car, this would be on my short list. NP

This car and yesterday’s Celica All-trac are the yin and yang of the used car world. One is a desired model with a dishonest history and dubious modifications with a high asking price (I still want, but not for 16 grand). The Gran Fury in 1986, was a model desired by basically no one. I know some people are into it,

The sad thing is, even with this car being pretty beat, these are great cars. This needs some serious attention to get it back to decent, not riced-out shape. If nothing else, this car needs to be saved from its current owner.  The price seems steep until you look at the prices of it’s comparable group a homologation

Agreed, the often frustrating truth.

That is the conundrum of NPoCP. Price per value vs. Price per want. But then there is also cars where the value can be expected to increase, then you have a price per Value (Now) vs. Price per Value (Future) scenario. And then also, there are cars where the enthusiast market offset perceived actual value vs. cars

I almost voted NP because I like the model and this one is in “good” condition but it just isn’t worth the money being asked. In fact, I’m not sure if there is a LUV worth more than 10 grand in existence. Unfortunately, CP.

Unironcolly, someone (likely familiar with corvettes and their value) has already bought the “Crack-pipe” 1968 roller.  I agree that it is almost criminal the lack of foreseeable value.

This car and others like it I would likely never buy.  However, at this price point with decent engineering even if did come from a consortium of Renault, AMC, and Chrysler this has great value. This car has a lot of life left and at $2700, NP.

These cars can be pretty cool. This one needs to seriously ditch the cheesy after-market chrome and fake wood stuff. Realistically though, if you want the best Sonic out there, you should pony up a little more green and get the RS. Better interior, brakes, styling, and an uprated engine (ever so slightly). But based

I did this on my rally car project. Good gloves and a respirator are definitely required. The smell of this stuff is awful (instant headache) and if it touches your skin, you will get a chemical burn which increases in severity as the exposure time increases.
