I’m pretty sure it’s a ski rack. Or a LRM-10 mount point.

My daughter said it was like a backdoor pilot to a show that already exists. Which is true, and also very, very odd. But it was also twice as good as all the other Boba Fett episodes combined, so yay for that.

Presently in the market for something for my nearly-16-year-old. East of the Mississippi, I’d have been in the car with cash in hand. Wrenchable, already a little beaten on such that it’s not really going to get ruined by teen hijinks, useful as a truck, stick, and not really fast enough to get ahead of his teen brain.

The real secret is that The Mandalorian and Boba Fett are the same show all along. After all, we saw an episode that was all “what was Boba Fett doing between several episodes of The Mandalorian” and now we have an episode that’s all “What was The Mandalorian doing between episodes of his own show -and- episodes of

Heh. Y’ain’t seen NOTHIN’ yet.

I don’t get why people are bitching about those bikes. They stick out on Tatooine but that makes sense. These are biker kids. They probably trying to emulate the style of the inner rim and make an effort to keep their shit clean and pretty.

Same. A Mr. Show quote comes to mind: “Not very funny. Just plain mean.”

David Cross is another performer where I love their writing/sketch comedy work, think they’re a terrific comedic actor, and [when applicable] even appreciate them in more dramatic roles ...

That song is so old that they likely all have worse than Covid now.... They have teenagers of their own.

Wow. Really?

This is the automotive equivalent of crowning.

I should’ve stopped reading the first time Erin offered excuses for criminal behavior. But I kept reading and found more of it.

Every time I see one of these that’s been “tastefully modified” I try to visualize how much the owner has hooned the everloving shit out of it.

And, the technician checks in! ( I should make it a point to do this more often.)

These are not bad cars at all. Handbuilt at the Reatta Craft Center in Lansing Michigan means that they might be screwed together SLIGHTLY better than most big GM front wheel drive cars.

I am not clamoring for a female James Bond so please don’t include me in this narrative 🤣

So again the train leader says something about believing the Tuskens were uncivilized raiders. I think we are supposed to understand that one of the implications of that is the Syndicate did not suspect the Tuskens would have the organizational sophistication to pull off that sort of ambush—and of course they did not

Yeah, I am OK if the basic story structure here is that Fett is eventually confronted with the fact that his vision for how to take over Jabba/Fortuna’s criminal enterprise is naive and unworkable, leading to some sort of conflict with the values he acquired during his time with the Tuskens.

Fennec Shand was in “Bad Batch”, which takes place at the same as the Tuscan flashbacks here.

Stewart made it clear in a follow up clip, posted elsewhere in these comments, that he was joking and doesn’t think Rowling is antisemitic. Those quotes were taken out of context by Newsweek and repeated here bythe AV club uncritically.

It was one of those things where I saw it on the screen and I was expecting the crowd to be like, ‘Holy shit, she did not, in a wizarding world, just throw Jews in there to run the fucking underground bank.’ And everybody was just like, ‘Wizards.’
