Yes, it’s a very traumatic and frightening way to be victimized - even if you are (for lack of a better word) “lucky” enough get out of it without being raped and/or killed, it will still scar you. I’m so sorry that happened to you.

Yeah, the headline is rather clickbaity. I suspect she was probably a lot more fearful that she would be killed and never see her kids again, than she was of being raped. I mean I am sure she was fearful of being raped too, but as you said, that should be perfectly obvious.

I can’t imagine how terrified she must have been. No matter how rich you are or whatever, this is a really fucked up thing to have happen to you. The jewelry is insured/can be replaced/is just stuff, but her peace of mind is surely shattered for a long time if not forever.
