LOL, you know nothing about keyless start systems. If my battery dies, there’s a little slot on the dash for me to stick the fob into, the car reads it (somehow), and away I go. But you shouldn’t be letting the battery die on you anyway, because the car warns you when the battery is getting low.

When I have dropped my keys, nothing has happened to my fob. EVER. That being said, I drop them a whole lot less when they are literally in my pocket all day long. I have washed it. Numerous times.
