I'm not even watching at this point…seasons five and six were garbage so I haven't given seven a chance.

The Season Four finale would have been a perfect series finale if you think about it…

Absolutely. McKean, Banks and Odenkirk are all veteran masters and are just killing it this season, though like you said, McKean needs more recognition. Same with Rhea Seehorn.

Exactly. *Where* you actually fall and what you damage in the process can either kill you or not hurt you much at all, it depends. It's amazing how both strong and fragile the human body is.

Gilligan is an idiot savant of the highest order.

Like you said, they already used that gimmick in S2, which most likely means their trolling us by repeating it…but maybe I'm wrong.

This show sucks. I mean hell, not a single on-screen murder this whole season! Fuck character development and fuck story, I wanna see Heisenberg fuck some shit up! YEAH BITCH

Sheeeeiiittt

Most shows (great dramas, even) treat the subject matter more like a "who's fucking who" teen drama - a focus on infatuation and titillation rather than, ya know, actual relationship stuff.

Oh hey look, an AV Club comments section that features a discussion of the actual show, rather than devolving into a glorified chatroom where AVC regulars constantly fellate each other over their supposed cleverness. How refreshing!

Exactly. BCS doesn't shove our nose in romance or sexuality like most of these shows.

Lol

Solipsism.

The split-screen montage was very reminiscent of the early seasons of Shameless - which makes sense, considering that former Shameless and Breaking Bad alumni Kelley Dixon edited this episode.

Exactly, these scenes rub salt in the wound and makes it all the more depressing. This show used to be so damn good.

I can't even tell you how much I agree with this…I got a hit of early Shamless nostalgia from that scene with the brothers. The show really lost something when Mike O'Malley and Kelly Dixon left after Season Three, and it's depressing when you think of what could have been.

Anyone else catch the BB reference of the episode? The pink pig he gives to Kaylee…

Exactly. Fiona was clearly in the wrong last season, but at this point, it's Gus who's being a little pussy.

A lot of Shameless' seemingly trashy/schlocky storylines end up having poignant payoffs - that's the show's winning formula. That all changed in Season Five.

"Dexterization" - perfect. Dexter started that bullshit in Season Three and never recovered.
