It’s a hair under 45 rods.

My neighbors cleared all the tall grass/underbrush out of their back yard last year and suddenly my cats were catching 3-4 mice a week in our house (3-4 more mice than normal).

I messed up my shoulder a few years ago and lost use of it for over a year. You’d be surprised how quickly you learn to use your off hand when you don’t have a choice.

This is how a serial killer folds socks...

Short for Padriag/Patrick, probably.

Nah, Vermont has 6% sales tax and an annual safety inspection.

I thought he was thinking of NH, too, but NH has safety inspections...

Vermont has both sales tax (6%) and annual safety inspections.

$10 (yes 10 bucks) married 20 years so far.

We got married at the county clerk’s desk in the DMV on our lunch break (no honeymoon thanks to an Air Force deployment). We’ve got our 20 year anniversary coming up this year.

I grew up in Vermont and was familiar with Grinder but my parents were from Connecticut.

Doesn’t seem any worse than the Phillips Wake-Up lights you always see pop up on this network (they have no battery backup so if you lose power no alarm for you).

This one is (was recently?) still often a thing (for men and women). I wanted to get a vasectomy back in 2005 and they required my wife’s permission for it...then they refused because “I was young (30) and might change my mind”.

Both my Mazda3 and my WRX have them.

Because the AF is run by fighter pilots and officer promotion (especially after Lt Col) is intensely political. You don’t make O7 by bucking the party line.

You don’t have to go so far as putting an Army/Marine general into the position. Put someone who was comm, security forces, transportation, etc (basically anyone not a pilot or flight line support for fighter planes) that doesn’t work for a large contracting company like Boeing, Lockheed, Northrup, etc and you’d

I had a diabetic Russian Blue (who relapsed then recovered twice) who was mental for the Hills ID diabetic prescription food. Once he was put on that he wouldn’t eat anything else and neither would my other 2 cats. They’d actually try and steal his food if I tried to feed them anything else.

My cats won’t eat anything but Hills ID glycobalance food. Neither of them are diabetic but ever since my Russian Blue (who passed last month) was put on it for his diabetes they’ve refused anything else.

I work for a small IT company and bill by the hour. I get in between 6 and 7 am (lets me avoid most of the horrible Maryland/DC morning traffic) so I’m out the door between 2 and 3 most days.

Most of the people at my company work 6-2 or 7-3. 11am is halfway or more through the day for us *shrug*.
