Agreed... telling your young child that their dreams are bullshit is incredibly immature.

Absolutely. Telling a 12 year old who’s passionate about something that their “career” is fucking over is a very immature, fucking dick move.

Exactly this.  I would never in a million years say such a thing to my kids, and I think what she said was cruel and mean and wrong.  But that said, if that’s the only mean thing she did to him, all parents slip up, and the fact that he’s out here bragging about it just makes him look like a big old petty asshole,

Not really. If she didn’t support him, why should he support her?

I’m resisting judgment, as maybe his mother was legitimately abusive and this is all Tarantino feels comfortable in sharing, but in this exchange he sure comes across as spiteful and emotionally stunted.

I mean it depends on if it was a one-off or typical of their relationship. If she was indeed a toxic parent, I can understand him not wanting to have anything to do with her (the usual caveats about Tarantino being a Weinstein enabler who puts his actresses in unecessary danger aside)

I would’ve never have guessed Tarantino had mommy issues...said no one, ever.

At least they addressed why the Totems still have their power after last week, though they don’t address why none of them notice that the totems still have power.”

MICK AND KAYLA ARE SPOONER’S PARENTS!

I can easily believe that Warburton is pretty smart, but I don’t think I could trust the show to someone whose acting roles primarily consist of (admittedly lovable) morons.

You would have to define “ages”. Blade? Elektra? They existed before the MCU, and it wasn’t that long. If you meant actual mega-blockbuster Marvel films as we see them today, then yeah there was a lack of that across the board, Marvel or no Marvel. But “dragging their feet” they most certainly were not.

Even in Wandavision, Monica puts her life on the line many times while knowing the consequences could be death because she’s not superpowered...at least she did so willingly, though”

A killing assassin? I guess that’s to differentiate from someone like me, who’s a cuddle assassin.

“a franchise that....loves to have non-superpowered women of color murdered or brutally assaulted over and over...”   OK, what am i forgetting. I’m reviewing the various mcu movies in my mind and trying to recall what this might be referring to.  I guess some of the netflix shows and AoS but both of those felt pretty

Been seeing a lot of very pissed, very toxic Marvel fans on social media about this.

The only thing that can stop a bad white person with a gun is a good white person with a gun.

I think the appeal to this is that it works for people who aren’t scifi fans. It’s not complicated, and everything is explained in simple terms.

I just think Endgame is the better film.

Goddamn it China!  This is the 10th worst thing you've done in the past few months!  How could you!!!

Male tweens know why it’s so popular.
