no that's a fucking terrible idea that would destroy the US economy... have you tried using the thing between your ears?

no, jesus christ why is everything so black and white. The ultimate answer here is shit happens. 99.999% of the time but the other 0.001% shit happens and that's what happened here. It's not like GM hasn't issues recalls over the past 10 years. It's just that shit happened, people died as a result. Life is not squeaky

The truth is probably must less interesting, through experience I suggest this is it: Engineers didn't see the problem as life threatening and therefore it was low on their priority list, it kept getting pushed lower because they had to make new cars, different departments at a company that has hundreds of thousands

have you ever heard of the term scapegoat?

no, no they absolutely should not.

Ah yes, lot's of retarded non engineers who probably couldn't get through calc 1 calling for blood because they have no idea how the world works. You do understand that it takes thousands of people to build a car and it should the companies responsibility for a fuckup, not individual engineers? I don't even care if

this song is terrible, but god damn if it isn't catchy as hell

GM fucked up, that much is clear, but let's also be clear that everyone has blown this problem up for selfish reasons.

exactly, these people, including the authors here, have no idea what the situation was. Barra is basically a scapegoat for the old GM execs and a punching bags for the senators to pad their stats for election season, I feel really bad for her.

sir without even realizing it, you just also substantiated NASCAR.

inb4 the snotty wagon crowd looks down on this because LEL BRO YOU CAN'T RACECAR A TRUCK. TRUCK BRO GTFO.

I'm actually really comfy in an ST. It takes a bit of getting used to at first because the seats are just so different, but I could heal toe no problem, even had the seat scooted up a bit. I have really broad shoulders too but am in average shape so make of that what you will.

same body as you, I think it depends on what shape you are, I personally don't find them comfortable but I know some people that do.

I've only had experience with e s197 mustangs, but I found them to be pretty roomy for me actually. Granted they should allow for more steering wheel articulation

I get the feeling a lot of people here are short... which explains a lot.

can I upvote you more?

no no no no cops should be driving crown vic manual wagons with a diesel engine swap. And they should all be brown. Browner than the iowa state patrol

every company does this, GM just did it poorly.

please let's not

1st: Not quite bloomberg. The phrase "build it for less" is more common than "how was your weekend" in the engineering world. Making their cars more cheaply isn't the problem, it's not enough testing and and bad engineering that is the problem, not that they wanted to make the car cheaper.
