my dude, this is the whole point. Michigan has never been ~~elite~~ they have 1 natty in the past 80 years. However they’re big money and the only thing that will keep that money coming is giving those poor Michigan fans enough false hope at the beginning of the seasons to make them forget about the last season.

In the end uber and lyft will become more powerful. If they are employers, then their employment base goes through the roof. If their employment base goes through the roof, their political power does too and there is now a political incentive to subsidize this industry to keep people employed.

Fremont CA is a pretty mild climate, it’s not like we’re building in the middle of winter in Michigan. The only reasons you’re really giving for not using a tent is that it’s unconventional, which whatever, it worked.

Imo, it’s because they never thought it would work out, and the farther the company gets, the more wrong their original assumption was, and people don’t like to be wrong even if there is no tangible loss to them for being wrong.
