double fisted infact

yes i benchmarked it

we don't either... salt trucks typically don't hit the road until after it's done snowing. Also if it gets below 20, conventional salt stops working. That corridor of 94 is also hell to drive through, even in the summer because of all the semis moving between chicago and detroit/cleveland

yeah there are many times driving 50+ on the highway you just can't stop because the road is sheet ice. ABS doesn't do shit. Basically just pray if you need to stop and you're on ice

The midwest is literally the worst of all worlds. The summers regularly are in the 100's, its humid as all hell because much of the midwest is marshland, the job market sucks, the only decent city is chicago, the winter is ass biting cold, especially in the great plains where the wind is 50mph nonstop. Fall is nice

Give me a well reasoned argument why it's "superior" and I'll accept it. I stand by my argument and cite my engineering degree from a top 5 engineering school and years of experience in the automotive field.

but dat awd fuel economy doe

not really... they weigh more, they're marginally quicker, they're more complicated, and they're harsher. Also the old people are exactly who luxury makers want to sell their cars to... because they have the money for it

the shifts aren't actually smoother, a transmission with a torque converter feels much smoother than a dual clutch. They're quicker and have more performance potential, but smooth they are not because they're essentially manuals

the OP suggested using the GTR as the basis for an infinity luxury/sports car, so that's why I'm saying that.

most in the market for luxury are old rich people and they don't like to have to make a trip to the chiropractor after going to the country club. I make cars for a living and even the dual clutch transmissions piss them off, a ride like the GTR's will make them shit themselves ( ask me how I know)

yes, really. we're just harder than you. (mostly because we're frozen)

have you actually driven a GTR? it doesn't ride like a luxury car, and when you spend 100k+ on a luxury car, it better ride like a cloud when you have it in comfort.

except the GTR rides like a bucking bronco.

this is why northern peoples will always have the upper hand against southern peoples. We can survive winter.

what I'm saying is if ford dolled up an explorer and sold it as a lincoln it could sell like crazy because the explorer is selling like crazy

you may have actually been right with the explorer comment..

gauge cluster is off the Taurus. Did they even try?

wow. so hipster, much vintage.
