shes beyond fucking annoying.

it's likely everything was prepaid to the hotel, and any caterer worth a damn makes extra. Not to mention the number of people who probably RSVPed yes and didn't show up anyway (like 10% at my own wedding).

Crashing a wedding, something that takes an enormous amount of time, energy, and money is a pretty awful thing to do.

Oh, man, thanks DogFisterAcePitcher! I get it now! What a funny joke! Pretending to be an ignorant person in comment section full of other ignorant persons! Then, other people mistakenly believe the joker to be an ignorant person themselves! And the joker also benefits from people who are actually stupid agreeing with

Except he DID go to the police about three offenders, including Marc Collins-Rector back in the 90s. And Singer wasn't mentioned at the time.

Yes. He's obviously a horrible person, so it's a little hard to defend him, but Jezebel is being pretty childish to ignore the correction and call it understandable. If Jezebel wasn't always quick to run stories that fit their preconceived notion without even basic research, I might have more sympathy. As it is, they

My point was that she thought it was ridiculous that "Terry" would be getting away with "his" behavior. I know that. And I know that some of the people on here have a point that maybe she didn't make the message herself, but she certainly believed it even after her and her agent were told it was fake. She certainly

She sent it to Buzzfeed, then when people started refuting it she said she couldn't believe that people would just put up with such behavior (the fake text). She's a vapid opportunist.

Some of us said this the night that it happened and got yelled at. Seriously, too many people on this site are way too quick to take things at face value without any thought whatsoever about waiting to find out more facts or let things play out.

I have no idea if he's innocent or not (I suspect not), but I have to say your logic abilities are slightly pathetic.

You almost sound proud to be "that guy". If you believe he did it, that's fine, but if you believe he did it because of the way he looks, then you are one of the bad people.

Yes, I watch GoT because I secretly get off on sexual violence. It has nothing to do with the good writing, exciting twists and turns, well-done fantasy setting, etc.

I don't think anyone really enjoyed watching that scene, or many of the scenes with sexual violence. People who like Game of Thrones aren't necessarily into incest, rape, prostitution, murdering your family, etc.

It's not intended, or presented, as if it was hot. It's supposed to make you uncomfortable, not horny. The same as the violence in general.

"So while I hate this change from the book, it seems like viewers who get only outraged about this episode are more upset about their hero Jaime's name getting sullied than anything else. "

This is GRRM's response from his blog:

At no point in watching the abuse and rape in Game of Thrones do I get turned on. I think calling it sexualized is a bit of a stretch.

Do you somehow think that fans of fantasy consume their media with less scrutiny than people that prefer other genres? You seem to be implying that fantasy stories just go unexamined by the fans. That seems like a bizarre claim to me, considering scifi/fantasy fans are consistently considered obsessive about

I was really dreading this writeup because it's already been handled a lot more tactfully and analytically on other blogs.

You are uncomfortable with seeing it because you wish to deny it? They are not even romanticizing it. It is gruesome. Do you know what else they show? People getting horribly murdered every episode. And lets just forget about when Theon Greyjoy almost got raped.
