You know that OS X doesn't inherit anything from BSD's security model at all, right? The relationship between Darwin and BSD is overstated. If OS X were merely a BSD fork, life would be much simpler for a number of people.
I recently bought a Sansa Clip and immediately moved it to RockBox.
I've got an email with about every free service, it all gets pumped into mail.app anyway (Other than !@$%& Yahoo). AOL is one of these.
Maybe companies should start having Gizmodo-specific coupon codes. "Sony Style store, 25% off anything, use coupon code GIZ25" - Might be interesting to see how many purchases actually come from here.
He wears one because Ian Fleming wore one. After all, Ian Fleming /was/ James Bond. There was even a real "Operation Goldeneye" which he planned.
Granted, it's not human or realistic, but I think molesting fairies still counts as porn.
According to the article, we're seeing the x-ray emissions ("echo") of the molecular clouds, so the cloud x-ray emission event took place ~28ka ago and we're just now seeing the after-effects. The Sag A* event was, as you state, ~28.4ka ago. (q.v. arXiv:1109.1950v1 )
Sounds like you might have missed a close (ending parenthesis or curly bracket) somewhere. The easiest thing to do would to just re-copy-and-paste the source code from the article, taking care to not miss lines.
1) Not really surprised that a college would do that, and
Maybe it's a Deus Ex ARG?

Ah, but the IF stage is putting out an already amplified signal, so the end receiver just needs serious selectivity, not so much sensitivity, since by that point the IF and preamp stages have already taken the sub-nanowatt signals and put them into the realm of detectability (2.4mW input. according to [www.gb.nrao.edu]
Are these commenters with Ninja stars, then?
The Green Bank radiotelescopes use IF preamps, which put out up to a half watt of RF power. Even assuming they do a heck of a job shielding the IF stage from the receiver, there's little reason to shield the output of that stage at all, since that's what they'll be looking at anyway.
Yeah, my first thought was to just bring a cheap WiFi router and hide it in the trunk, drive around and talk to people in the street...
