I've got some friends in law enforcement, here, who have told me they've been given mandatory classes where the instructor presented Islam as an inherently dangerous and terroristic cult, rather than a religion, and to treat all Muslims as potential terrorists.

You know, I had a friend recently suggest I make profiles on PlentyOfFish and OkCupid, but now... I'm geekier than Jon, but nowhere near as successful, so why should I think I've got a chance when someone like this comes along and shoots him down?

Symantec and McAfee, at least, pay the hardware mfrs to pre-install the programs and make it hard to remove for two reasons: 1) They're getting revenue if people get frustrated and renew the AV subscription, and 2) Well, viruses know how to run uninstall routines easily enough.
