The first Conjuring movie was fun. I didn’t see the second one. I recently watched Conjuring 3: The Devil Made Me Do it and it pissed me off a little. It is based on a real murder case and the murderer was convicted, only served 5 years, and is still alive. And here we have a movie taking his bullshit “I was

That Hello Kitty song is a banger. Don’t deny it.

I agree. I stopped watching at the start of the season when Supergirl was trapped in the Phantom Zone and had a smaller role after having a baby. Without her I couldn’t take how stupid the stories were.
Credit to them for keeping the show on this long but their shitty writing and adding terrible love interests did

“I’m older than some of my colleagues in this conversation, so I didn’t catch the Hogwarts Express until I was a teenager”

It may depend on the situation. I have a house in the midwest and my living room has a slanted roof that is close to 12 feet tall at the highest. The ceiling fan definitely helps get that warm air spread around more.

Teaching during covid allows me to see inside some student’s homes. I have had THREE students that have had chirping smoke alarms for multiple days. WTF. First, that is SO dangerous but secondly, how the hell do they put up with it without going crazy??? These were three different students in different classes during

I love it when people talk about their education and don’t know when to use “your” and when to use “you’re.”

I guess I’m a cheap bastard because I always buy the store brand of all of these except cereal, soda, and batteries.

I loved it but yes as far as a classic story structure goes, it sucks but that is down to the source material. I would have cut it in half a little sooner but basically that is half way through the story so if they were going to cut it in half that is where they kind of had to do it.

My 2009 Honda Fit was my forever car until I got in a wreck this summer. I bought it new and only had 66K miles on it. I was going to drive it into the ground. Then some jackass pulled out in front of me and I had to buy a car in this market. And they don’t even sell the Fit in the USA any more!

I was going to make a comments about Polanski but in doing research, fuck Brody. He’s defended both Polanski and Woody Allen.

I really like the John Wick movies but fuck no to Mel Gibson.

So many great moments in this episode

The parts where Gaal “sciences the shit” out of her location were fun and very Asimov. However, we’re supposed to believe she is this mega ultra math genius with zero official math education?

I am constantly amazed at the ability of lifehacker writers to make a listical out of a one sentence topic:

One of the houses in my neighborhood has a flagpole with some trump 2024 flag and an anti-Biden flag. The house next door is for sale. I don’t envy them trying to sell a house next door to such a jackass.

An article I read more than 15 years ago has stuck with me so much I still have the link saved:

or if they are deplatformed they can go on a tour of conservative media and make more money that way

Me too. There are a couple podcasts that record live to twitch and because I teach college, I have time during grading or whatnot that I can participate in the chatroom. I don’t think these people are my friends at all but it is a weird relationship.

I haven’t seen it but Bloodshot got destroyed by COVID. It came out right when the first lockdown really started. It was in theaters and then they shut all the theaters. It was too late for it to pivot to some online platform so it just disappeared.
