Homeowner makes up story to get media attention.

it’s times like this I wish cancel culture was real.

Agreed. The actual plot of the first book is pretty simple. Herbert even starts off by telling you what is going to happen: we think this kid might be the messiah. And even later in the story when there is a traitor, we are told pretty early on who that traitor is.

Struggling with basic tech literacy

1) install the greasemonkey userscript someone made to unslideshow posts on kinja sites:

“Directed by It’s Andy Muschietti”

A remake of Robotech could be good. With all original animation and writing they could clear up the continuity and make it more cohesive than was originally possible.

It was fun but there were a few things missing that hurt the story for me: Galactus is the big one. I get that they aren’t ready to start including Fantastic Four stuff but it is still an omission. Another is: alternate versions of Ultron. If there are infinite universes and there is one Ultron that got the infinity

I did NOT have to preorder mine. I went in a couple weeks before I wanted it and they were like “just come in that day and get it” so I did

I was confused because I thought Earwolf already did some premium stuff but that someone bought Earwolf from Aukerman. But it seems like Aukerman (wisely it seems) kept ownership of the Comedy Bang Bang name?

My theory has been that if the covid vaccine was a pill instead of a shot there would be a lot fewer people opposed to getting the shot. People are just big babies afraid of shots.

“Talking to a doctor if you have covid is hardly seeking medical help.”

I don’t know about you but if I get covid, I’m talking to a medical professional.

I want to believe that Garrison is actually some Andy Kaufman-esque put on because I don’t want to believe anyone can be that wrong. I mean he constantly posts cartoons that mean the opposite of what he claims they mean:

I wonder how the credits for this will be attributed. One of the neat things about Sandman is how it took a number of preexisting characters. While those characters were created under a work for hire contract, I wonder if their creators will get any acknowledgement. Sure Cain and Abel are biblical but their look comes

“We’ll be danged if we can find even a single joke in this audio-only teaser”

I agree with most of the other posts. The Orville is pretty good. The first few episodes tried too hard but after that they got better and better.

SO, to derail, what is so great about Disney? If I had kids, ok, I might go but there’s no way I would want to go as an adult without kids. What is so great about it compared to any other amusement part that I don’t have to travel across the country to do? I know people where I live that go every year. I don’t get it.

I miss hostage rescue and vip escort modes.

I watched all the Fast and Furious films a year or so ago. I would be amazed if they actually do this but for all the talk of “family” there is at least one character (maybe 2? I can’t remember) that was in the first film and then was never seen in the rest of them. That dude should come back and be like “what about
