Good point. Didn’t even think about that.

I’m going to guess that, based on the images, the wheel coming off was the cause. Hope they all recover quickly.

Never gets old.

Now playing

Nonsense. All you really need is Sean Connery and an umbrella.

He was obviously russian off to be somewhere.

Was there a Cars and Coffee nearby? It’s a Fusion, so it may have had a momentary lapse in judgement and thought it was a Mustang.

All the time. Doesn't change the fact that the two wheels that are bolted to one hub act as one combined wheel.

It’s ok. There’s always a first time.

Unfortunately, this behavior isn’t limited to bike riders:

I don’t feel like explaining this again so....read some of my other replies.

Yep, and when you bolt two together on the back, they function as one wheel. That’s why a dually that drives both axles is still a 4x4 and not a 6x6.

The duals, when bolted on, become one wheel in the mechanical sense of the word.

No, I’m using the mechanical definition of wheel. When the dual are bolted together they become one wheel since they aren’t driven independently.

I know that and I'm not disputing it. I'm just explaining the difference between a dually and an actual 6x6.

Varying use of the term wheel I suppose.

I suppose technically you would.

I know that, but those two wheels then constitute one mechanical wheel since they aren’t driven independently.

How so? The two rims on each side are bolted together and driven by the same hub. Does that not make them one wheel?
