I’ve said this many times, but if you aren’t shifting your own gears, who cares?  Not like any slushbox is that fun to drive either.  My biggest beef with CVTs is that they often put fake shift points in them just to make folks feel better about it.  We don’t need that and I think folks don’t really care about that…

CVT’s are great. The problem is that bad CVT’s (or bad programming) are really terrible (looking at you Nissan).

Naw, Altimas are no good for street takeovers, being front-wheel-drive. Hence the Infiniti’s - the official car of douchebags for about twenty years now. Same Big Altima Energy, but in a much more flingable RWD package.

If they were focusing on stealing & destroying Altimas, we’d be celebrating this - each one removed from the road is a step in the right direction.

I actually saw a mint Sundance on the road the other day. I thought they were attractive cars for the time - the v6 versions weren’t slow.

Disaster planning is expensive. Cheaper to just lose a pile of cars every 100 years than have something that can withstand a storm that is so infrequent.

It’s easy to say “lack of prior planning”, but where do you build indoor storage for this many cars? That’s an awful lot of real estate to have to maintain and pay taxes on for fifty years in order to use for three days.

Surprised they give a shit. They just send flood cars to auctions in GA and Texas and let the used car dealer sell them to some poor sap with a “clean” Car Fax.

I think the best solution in this modern age is letting him get cancelled. Take away the thing he wants the most: attention.

I fit the profile,  apart from the new Frontier I don't have any interest in Nissan’s current lineup and am far more interested in either discontinued models like the Xterra or 25 year old JDM stuff.  

It also doesn’t help that Nissan drivers have a universal, and well-deserved, reputation for being among the worst drivers on any road.
