The twin turbo S600 is the best value by far and away. Much cheaper that a 65, about the same a a 55, realistically making closer to 540 hp compared to the actual 493 that the S55 makes. Also, it’s a $3000 tune away from over 600 hp.

My S600 was $6000 in breakdowns last year. I know other owners who have matched that with one bill and doubled it over the course of a year. That being said, I regret nothing.

I bought a S600 expecting it to be expensive, and lo and behold, it was. It doesn't really bother me, but tavarish is nothing other than lucky. If you're going for a 220 S600, budget for a $40000 dollar car, not a $20000 car.

Avoid ABC like the plague. Look for a 2003+ V8 and try to find the best one you can. Even if it's more expensive it will more than pay for itself down the road.

Yeah lol I’m the same way. I’m not that much older than you and I bought a W220 S600. I skipped the whole small sports car thing and went straight for the luxo-barge. The AMG grille pisses me off too. I don't much care for any of the new AMG Mercs, though I'd love an older one.

Well, I DD a 2004 S600. It's really not that bad once you take care of the inevitable ABC malfunctions. And the feeling of driving a twin turbo V12 around is priceless. Feel free to ask about maintinence costs or anything else about the car.
