You actually don’t have to backtrack much in Banjo-Kazooie: 99 of the 100 jiggies can be collected the first time you visit each world (for some weird reason, Freezeezy Peak has one jiggy that requires a move from a later world). A long time ago I spent a lot of time considering how great Banjo Kazooie was, and how everything along those lines from Rare (Twooie, DK64) was not.
