We’ll spell his name correctly when he leads Chicago to the World Cup.

Do the teams provide housing for players? How else could some of these guys live on $53,000 in places like New York or San Jose?

Can’t wait for the MLS fans to try and convince us this is a real league we should take seriously.

That’s what made it so real. This is your future, kids.

The Blackhawks season doesn’t start for 50% of their fans until the second round of the playoffs, so it’s like they didn’t even play this year.

What a baseless statement.

Phil Jackson said there is a gigantic gap between practice and game that no amount of gym work can make up, citing that Shaq would shoot close to 75% FT in practice but put him at the line on live TV in a spotlighted arena in front of 16,000 people and there’s enough there to get into the mind of an non-confident

I really, really think it’s all a mental thing. This is from the 2012-2013 Lakers. Dwight shot 82% in practice on more than 1500 attempts and he couldn’t crack 50% (thru the break) at 430 attempts! (He ended that season at 49.2%.) This blew my mind the first time I saw it because I always thought he was just blowing

I’ll never understand how your only job is to play basketball, yet you can’t make free throws. Literally you do this for a living. Camp in the gym 10 hours a day and practice- you have no other job! I do free throws an hour a day FOR FREE.

Texas Senator Ted Cruz was troubled by the Rockets’ display, saying that “Publicly mocking a man for cinder blocking his free heaves at the ball hole isn’t our way. I hope the Rockers learn from this.”

What bothers me is both of the “Hardin is MVP” arguments lead to other people. In the “most w’s” argument Kawhi earns it, in the “all around best player” I have a hard time not giving to LeBron. So yeah, it could not be Russell, but it definitely isn’t Hardin.

Clearly the Rockets are the better team, but, if anything, this series has revealed just how valuable Westbrook is to his team while also illustrating that the Rockets can still be very good when Harden doesn’t play well or spends time on the bench.

In this series, James Harden is shooting 44% from the floor, 27% from 3. He’s averaging 8 assists to 6 turnovers. Wasn’t the argument for his candidacy supposed to be that he’s otherworldly efficient? Because that’s pretty unimpressive.

I like how somehow the Thunder being up when Russ is on the court and then hemorrhaging points when he sits for a couple minutes confirms that Harden is the MVP when those comebacks often happen with Harden on the bench as well. Harden’s supporting cast is so much better than Russ’s and if that’s not obvious to you

There’s no way Nenê got any MVP votes.

“Why are you guys so bad when Westbrook goes to the bench?”

I’m torn between commenting “hahaha what makes you think we don’t?” or noting how much “Ivanka with a lifetime appointment in the West Wing” sounds like a solution in “Clue”, so I’ll just thank you for doubling my commenting pleasure today.

And with no required education to start, to boot.

“Hockey isn’t your thing.”
