Nothing beats actively paying attention to all signage, but there are many times when such alerts can be very handy. When travelling through rural areas in South Carolina, speed limits can drop significantly when approaching or entering small towns, and they are often very strictly enforced. Such alerts can be useful.

This is a welcome feature. I also love the happy medium with Google Now. I don’t use Google maps during my 30 minute commute, but on occasion, I do get Google Now alerts to accidents on my route. Invaluable!

You nailed it. I have absolutely nothing against ads. Hell, I run some hobby Web sites, and Google Adsense more has than paid for them many times over. But it’s all about the NUMBER of ads that kills my browsing experience. One or two unobtrusive ads placed here or there is fine. But when ads become the focus of the

Life is a terminal disease.

We were in a London pub back in 1999, and the bartender drew dozens of glasses of Guinness, and every single one was identical: Almost full, very small head, and a precise shamrock drawn into the foam. Unbelievable.

Tasker certainly is the “go to” app for most scenarios, but for me, I’ve found that AutomateIT provides everything I need in a simpler form. It’s kinda like Apple vs Windows vs Linux. Or Chevy vs. Ford. It’s all about what you are used to, what are your needs, and works best for you--it’s very subjective. But the

I think it really comes down to your level of responsibility in how you handle your finances. We have and use multiple credit and debit cards regularly. And we ALWAYS pay off the balances when the statement comes without exception. We simply view credit cards as “deferred cash”, not loans. This way, we can carry

Fine. Then bring back Jolt Cola!

You can always enable auto-brightness on the Android to auto-dim, and then enable “Night mode” in Star Chart (which is a “red” view.) Of course, if you don’t like the red night mode, then a screen dimming app would be prudent.

We’re fortunate to live in Rural South Carolina, and when the sky is clear at night with no moon, the sky simply stunning. (Then the moon is out and full, you can literally read by it.) It’s a far cry from when we lived in the Chicago Suburbs!

Star Chart appears to be MUCH more complete and feature-rich. Since the article links to a free version, why don’t you just try it and compare it.

YMMV, of course, I wouldn’t write it off so fast.

Do your best, don’t sweat it, and BE a student!

When you have 2 dogs, and they each are on the bed and under the covers at some point during the night, this is not a good idea.

What about any of the Stardock games?

Do you have any experience with any of the Stardock games? Do any of them fall into this category of optional exploration?

That’s a great choice as well. The one thing that sets aCalendar+ for me is its widgets. I don’t recall if Business Calendar 2 does this, but aCalendar+ is one of the only alternate Calendar apps that allows me to create separate agenda widgets for separate calendars. I know this is very, very picky, but I’ve tried

But only if it is genuine.

Good Lord! I just the docking instructional video on YouTube, and it’s just as complicated as the original 1984 version! Do I really want to get back into this?!? ;-)

Do you have any comments about Elite: Dangerous, Elite: Dangerous Arena, and Elite: Dangerous CMDR Deluxe Editions? Particularly in this context?
