Man, I LOVED Elite on my Commodore 64! And having seen videos and screenshots of Elite: Dangerous, it absolutely looks stunning. I’ll have to check it out. Thanks!

It depends on what you are trying to do. SSH certainly provides ultimate control and capability, but sometimes you just want as much solid information as you can get in an informative “portal” format. And you want it in the context of a known and authorized network.
“It then logs all this info so you can gather it later over SSH or by checking the Pi itself.”
At a buck a month, why aren’t you supporting them?!?
“So long, and thanks for all the fish!”
If you are into alternate calendar apps, check out aCalendar (or aCalendar+) which optionally integrates Google Tasks. The overall interface is stellar (IMHO) and the Tasks implementation is done well. But then, I’m a VERY disorganized person, so my suggestions may be questionable! ;-)
Followup: On first glance, it looks pretty complete and solid. It’s great to see the developer creating an excellent FREE app.
I was always a fan of Astrid, so I’ll check this out. I love that it syncs with Google Tasks. I’ve bought into the Google ecosystem, so anything that integrates well is a plus. Also a plus is the widget. There are many excellent ToDo/Task apps, but not all have decent widgets. For me, there’s nothing better than…
Just get a mouse with a Back button.
That’s exactly what I’m looking for! Sometimes I WANT to pay attention to inventory, and I WANT to watch my back so I don’t get shot. But other times, I just want to wander around endlessly and explore without distraction or fear. Sure, the game creators created a world to host fights and wars and trading, but it…
What space games are available to just “explore”?
Joseph, thank you! I actually looked that up on the Play Store a few days ago and found it to be very nice. Just set up a self-hosted WordPress instance, connect the app, and there you go.
No.
I absolutely LOVE this idea. But to complete it, we would need a solid (and possibly offline-capable) app for easy note management. I personally prefer the quick access of an app instead of waiting for a Web page to load, having to login, navigate to where I want to be, etc. Time to check Google on that one....
It likely boils down to students simply not knowing HOW to properly take notes. The “medium” for taking is not necessarily directly related to the “method” of taking notes. The most ultimate, wiz-bang, note-taking app is pretty much useless if you don’t understand how to take notes effectively.
What about non-live streaming?
Google Keep also has a note size limit of just under 10,000 characters. While this may not affect most users, if you have a long article saved, it can be an issue.
Keep needs a “Collapsed list” view!

You are correct in that it does “go cold” once it reaches 100%, so it very likely does have circuity to protect the battery.
