So it’s an Italian-American car that shares its underpinnings with a Japanese car based on a British car which was designed by Italians?

That’s fair. There are reasons why I wouldn’t buy one, but there are enough of those cars around to make me think you aren’t alone in thinking that.

If the engine is still running and it’s not too deep, the water is being constantly pushed out of the tail by the exhaust. The trouble happens when you stall on the boat slip or river crossing and your exhaust is filled with a significant amount of water. Then you’ll be in trouble.

Delphi had a coast to coast demo on their autonomous car. It completed over 99.9% of the journey with zero human intervention. That last part? Tunnels. The algorithm went freaking berzerk in the tunnels. Apparently. Will be curious to see how other companies’ LIDAR/RADAR systems tackle areas with difficult geometries.

If you could put enough pressure against the exhaust, the engine would develop back pressure and something would give. Usually this happens when someone backs a boat into water and their exhaust submerges too far or they turn their car off while the tailpipe is underwater.

It might blow the exhaust apart or it might

2nd Gear: I am really curious what affect this will have. Will Ford try to push some of the cars popular internationally more in the US? Will some of the CUV/SUV’s travel elsewhere? Will Lincoln make a car that isn’t butt ugly? (the Continental gets a pass, but only a C+ in my mind)

What are your thoughts on the Fiero then? How does it compare in your mind to the first gen MR2?

The first one I saw tried to. That’s why I went to 2 others and paid much less

I will never understand the fascination for these small hatchbacks or 3 cyl cars that aren’t sold in the USA. Maybe I’m just a sucker for an American land barge with torque (car not SUV)

Harley davidson had emissions cheating a while back and got a slap on the wrist, but GM definitely did get penalized for the ignition switch issue. Recalls and around a billion dollar fine is not insignificant. They also had to pay out millions to the families of people who were in accidents related to the ignition

But when it fills up the drain, they’ll have to explain unless they refrain!

Stef Schrader are you jarvis?

Came here to say exactly this.

Fun fact: historically, one of the largest shareholders of Apple has been Microsoft

Counterpoint:

Drove that road when it was raining. HOLY HELL that was terrifying! Those roads aren’t built to deal with rain runoff (because it hardly ever rains in nevada) but when it does those roads are downright dangerous.

I actually had a decent time buying my Cruze.

I was mistaken. Ties are thought of as symbols of Christianity and are prohibited. The country that hated the French was Syria.

Jane Mansfield springs immediately to mind...

5th: I thought most of the middle east hated the french?

Ford could implement a Logan’s Run type attrition for its employees! Tons of new jobs! Problem solved!
