Tesla is trying to be more of a technology company by calling this phase a “beta” test. I don’t think that is strictly accurate and it implies a certain level of imperfection.

But the plant has been operating since the 1950's
I can’t imagine what it’s like to live there right now. I wonder what the Venezuelan government is going to do to/with that plant. State owned vehicle production?
I’m sure there are people who see it as a situation where profits are being made off of their people and leaving the country, but with the levels of…
Yeah I was hoping to see more coverage of that (beyond reddit)
I bet that when the model 3 is released, it will be like when a new iPhone is released and Apple stock plummets. I believe that the cause is a large group of investors waiting to “cash in” on their investment. That is them believing that the stock will raise in value once the company has something new and “valuable.”…
I was referring to commercial trucks (read: semi’s). Any idea what the first diesel passenger vehicle was in the US. VW? Oldsmobile?
This is a great step in the direction of hydrogen as a common fuel. Similar to how diesel became a common fuel in the United States (Trucks first, then passenger vehicles). The issues that remain are still the ones that have plagued hydrogen powered cars of the past: range, and investment cost. These power systems are…
I want to NP so bad, but I really don’t think I could justify more than $10k for a 20 year old DSM car. I guarantee there is someone willing to spend that, but not me.
But that’s why a vehicle has a warranty in the first place. Besides assembly error, things that break under normal use of the car shouldn’t punish the customer.
And then get really mad when there are no used cars with manual transmissions available for $tiny.
I’m an idiot. Forgot the obvious one:
$60K for a 4 cylinder rear wheel drive sports car...
Do you have any supporting evidence? Here’s mine:
You are correct. Just the front suspension is from the Mercedes. The rear suspension is actually based on the LH’s Front suspension. And the LH was developed from the AMC/Renault Premier.
I wonder what the warranty will look like for this car. For example, on the GTR, if you used the launch controls, you would completely void the warranty.
“not new to this world”
Rebadged Renealts as Mitsubishis? Good news!
That’s why it’s up to the discretion of the state’s sheriff department. Most people driving cars that would likely not pass inspection don’t do it because they want to, they do it because they have no other choice. For some impoverished people, cheap mobility is the only way they can work. States that require regular…
Kit cars and custom fabricated vehicles are the only ones that get inspected (because ya know... home made chassis...) but any vehicle that was street legal in the US is street legal in Michigan, provided you, or really, someone, has the vehicle registered and properly titled.
