The Model 3 chassis is in aluminium, it would be hard to beat in term of weight and range by just stretching the same platform and putting a bigger battery and as the battery is what cost the most in an EV it would be hard to make a competitive car against it (based on the current pricing).

Because bigger is heavier and require even bigger batteries to have the same kind of range so the cars would cost more and still won’t be ideal to do road trips.

The current maximum CO2 tax is 30000€ if the car emits more than 218g of CO2/km during the WLTP emission test and the maximum tax is supposed to be 40k€ next year.

A base Wrangler cost 30k€ in CO2 tax (the maximum level, same as for a Chiron) when buying the car in France while you can have for example a Q5 e-TFSI hybrid that has none of this tax and end up starting almost 18k€ cheaper while being more powerful (yes i know those are not the best models to compare).

Keep in mind that European roads are tighter and on cities there are more merges and tight turns making it sometimes risky.

Alfa is more of a sporty brand than luxury (Lancia historically was also a sporty brand but luxury will do).
