My dog in a fancy hat! (The face he is making says “I don’t think we can call it ‘rescued’ when one is dressed in embarrassing clothing all the time”).

They told me she was an owner surrender and came with two adult siblings - one male and another female, who’d had 3 puppies. So a total of six dogs were surrendered. I wanted to at least get her brother too, but they advised me against it because he’d tested positive for heartworm and it’s a very expensive treatment…

Oh they’re so precious! And big dogs ae SO much fun. It’s great when they get along - when they don’t it can be a nightmare... I really want to get her a buddy, let’s see how that works out!

You guyssss, I finally got a doggie! Went to the shelter on Monday, she was ready on Thursday. We’re getting along great, she likes the kids and she’s the sweetest thing. Meet Amy:

We played plumber today and replaced the outdoor faucet. No leaks yet! Tonight’s adventure: releasing hordes of ladybugs on the roses to eat the aphids. That’s about as exciting as Saturday nights get around here.

Thanks! I actually just most moms are so fucking insecure they need to go on some dumb blog and judge and mock other women who make different choices then themselves.

I hate this “natural all the way” trend specifically because it shames mothers that were unable to do it “natural”. Sometimes you do need medicaton, you do need c-sections, you’re not a terrible mother for choosing to have an epidural. Medicine is your friend people and nature is full of failiure and pain modern…

It is not hard. Unless you don't have a washer and dryer, then it would be a pain in the ass. Modern cloth diapers are pretty much just like disposables. There are a thousand different kinds. Tons of websites have good faqs on cloth diapering. I did it with my two.

Is cloth diapering really considered a hippie thing now? My mum cloth diapered both me and my sister in the 80s because it was cheaper and because, in her words “The shop-bought things couldn’t stand up to you.”
