It was done to me, and I’m ok. I can’t say whether it worked particularly well or if my parents got more than 3 hours of sleep a night. I don’t see where it would last long enough to be really numbing so when my kid was teething, I just gave her frozen stuff - washcloths & the frozen teething ring.

Did they tell you at the shelter if she gets on with other dogs? Some places (where I volunteer we test for kids, dogs & cats whenever possible) will check or if she was an owner surrender, they might have more information.
