Slytherin definitely gets pigeon-holed as the “evil” house, but I’ve always thought it was mostly for people who are ambitious and... not the friendliest. Slytherins DGAF if people like them; they just wanna get shit done.

Slang will never not be a thing. It is not ‘stupid’ to use words as shorthand for meaning and context because using words as shorthand for meaning and context is the function language provides us. It’s supposed to work that way. Slang is just another facet of it.
