I’m not stumped by people supporting their right to choice at all. But their choice to be objectified and used as decoration is a bit of an odd one that I just don’t quite get.
I’m a guy, I’ll never get why it’s a thing nor will I face the problems most women do in that situation. I get that it’s guys telling women

Yeah, that’s what I’d expect tbh though I heard about it through these female friends. I’m hoping it’s just a vocal minority really but realistically it’s a debate I really don’t feel confident enough to talk about even though I worked in F1.

Just had to type in “grid girl march”

Fair point. I was just a bit stumped when usually more wise individuals (ladies) that I respect, were jumping on the bandwagon for saving the grid girls. I just couldn’t get my head around it. I’ve said nothing to them and I don’t think it’s for me to say anything, but your points are spot on.

I’m torn over this whole thing. Not because I want to keep “grid girls”, nor is it because I don’t think the kids thing is a bad idea. The thing I’m torn about is the amount of very open minded and progressive thinking women I know who have been coming out against the changes. They’re organising a march against the

You’ve hit the nail on the head with the inspections thing really, as soon as a car that otherwise runs and works well doesn’t pass it’s MOT and has costs higher than the car value to pass it becomes scrap here. I never really owned cars worth more than scrap value by more than a few hundred £ either way, so although

Goddamn people are rude. Though it has just reminded me of all the crap I used to get in my beat up Passat as well as my (Mountune) Fiesta ST.

Glad it’s not just me who thinks that. When you’re spending money on something that costs that much, why would you ever assume anything without asking?

Still my favourite M5, probably one of the few M cars I would have over an Alpina of the same vintage. Plus, as someone else mentioned, RONIN!

Honestly, only ever sold 1 car. The majority of the rest were scrapped (I’m cheap). Two have left my clutches in one piece, one sold, one taken back as it was a company lease car.

Riding this through any weather because being young means you think you’re invincible and you don’t have access to other vehicles.

Monsoon like rain? Gotta get to college dude.
4 inches of snow? Gotta get to work man.
Freezing fog? Wait, I can’t feel anything and I have ice in my eyelashes/eyebrows. Yeah, gotta get home

Came here to make sure someone else spotted the logo, faith in Jalop commenters restored.

T4's are brilliant and utterly ubiquitous here in Europe. That said, this T4 is an underpowered and overpriced pigdog of a thing. And with roughly zero parts availability for them over there it’d be a brave person who takes this up at even half the price.
If it had been one of the better engined variants, maybe a van?

Seeing that reminded me that I’d seen one with said windscreen the other day. I thought “oh, I forgot they did those, I’ll look it up when I get home”. Forgot again, until today, when someone posts a picture, where I promptly remember they look like the car is going bald. Then I forgot about it long enough to nearly

Torch, bloody love you.
Just a quick one, DoninGton typo up there.
Cheeky buggers naming some of their colours after awesome tracks, then choosing grey for Donington. It’s almost like they’ve been there or something.

I’m not disagreeing with you, I’m not saying they’re directly comparable. I’m saying that they were aimed at “driving enjoyment over spec sheets”. Which weirdly this has come to here.

Again, I’m also not arguing against it, I want one, I said so. I’m saying that the mass market/consumers used to the spec sheet/finance

“The Alpine 110 does something its competitors have strayed away from, as Henry points, as most companies are focused on objective performance metrics in a constant battle of oneupmanship. The Alpine, with its 250 horsepower, doesn’t follow.”

I’ve heard this line of thinking before, about a certain rear drive, boxer

My first car (Fiat Bravo Hlx) had heated seats and I will never go without them unless there’s no other option.
After riding motorbikes in all weathers, the heated seats were essentially mana from heaven. I’ve only had 2 cars without heated seats and I regretted it every time winter/autumn hit.
Heated seats, your butt

Oh hello there brother from another mother.

Ah, welcome to my city.
A place where we have long lost kings in car parks, Roman walls and mosaics underneath student housing and we’ve only just realised that it means something to some people. I’ll fetch the other historic artifacts out from behind the sofa in a bit, if you fancy a look.
