I just made a post about how Oakland/Alameda County actually lose ~$1m per season, which is what McKibben is referencing.

The local news this morning stated that each of those remaining seasons actually costs Oakland/Alameda County money. They take in ~$7m in revenue but spend ~$8m, for a ~$1m loss. So, yeah, while not wanting them to play in Oakland while their stadium is being built is an emotional response, it’s also a financial one.…
