I really loved how many varied planets we got to see in this.

This movie feels like retconning done right.
Agreed. The fact that you know they succeed doesn't subtract from how tense it still is.
Yeah that was, as the kids would say, *savage*. I've always liked the quiet menace of Vader but seeing him in action like that was amazing.
I know! I can see kids being emotionally scarred by this movie.
Everyone applauded at the end of my screening too which is extremely impressive since that never happens where I live (Manila).
I bawled like a baby. Probably my favorite of all the Star Wars movies. Donnie Yen managed to make the simple act of walking seem totally badass.
Short shorts and thick thighs really need to make a comeback.
Oooh, that bridge has been burned. Bourdain has talked a lot of shit about Top Chef re: New Orleans.
It's Top Chef not Top Crudo!
It's a different show but THIS IS NOT RUPAUL'S BEST FRIEND RACE!
I confess, I loved how passive-aggressively bitchy the biscuit chef was about having not "inspired" the rookies.
My guess is it's because the pork was only inconsistently cooked (Gail's was the only one who said hers was raw unlike the rest of the panel). Maybe ALL the tarts had raw dough so maybe that was a bigger sin?
It's why Antonia's elimination hurt so much more.
I looove Sheldon. I used to hang out with a bunch of guys who worked as cooks for a catering company. They smoked a lot of weed and made a lot of great food. He gives off the exact same vibes (Ditto, Paul Qui). Also, I'm Filipino and I feel like our food is underappreciated so having it be represented is very…
I think a handicap of some sort might be a good way to even things out. Maybe longer cooking times for the rookies? A bigger budget? Or throw in a twist but just for the vets?
Maybe it's just that everything is going so well for them something horrible is bound to happen soon.
It annoys me because she definitely is a rookie. Not as a chef but as a reality TV competitor. It's a distinction that is made evident by how well the veterans played this challenge.
They're a pretty likable bunch. Doesn't hurt that only half of them are new.
Blais on All-Stars was the turning point for me too. He started off as this nerdy, awkward guy with tons of talent but in AS2 he was just so fucking smug. He didn't really do anything bad but his attitude was off-putting.
