Because they are toys, hence the title "Games". Games technically can affect opinions and perceptions, but only in the incredibly susceptible as 99% of people simply see them as a fun way to kill time. Notice how most games that take themselves seriously get panned.

The media we create is not reflective of our

Sorry not all games can be broshooter of halo duty 2016 I guess.

Well a pretty big reason is that a bunch of guy gamers aggressively harassed some women with rape threats over a game review last Fall. So it's a bit of an issue.

1. They're not, 2. There are people in the world who are different than you, learn to deal with it.

Pretty sure this would be under race studies. You're mixing up your discriminations.

Because you're a moron.

Because the media we create is reflective of our immediate values and those in our culture that we wish to change. Video games, being highly immersive, can go a long way toward affecting opinions and perceptions.

We are really all one species - race typically refers to skin color and physical features, while ethnicity refers more to cultural background, which is sometimes tied more directly to nationality and/or religion as well.

I'm ok with racist white murricans being stuck with what they hate.

I'd rather it be abundantly clear who the racists are so that they can be shamed/hunted out of existence.

Hey, Watch_Dogs was great. But yeah, the deal Ubisoft has with Sony is bullshit. I mean especially with Assassin's Creed's side content that never came to Xbox 360/XB1; at the very least when MS buys exclusive content it's nearly always a timed deal.

They lost a customer with this. Timed exclusivity of any kind if bullshit as it means either one group gets fucked over because they get the earlier, inferior version of it, or by the time it releases on other systems gamers don't give a shit anymore as they know what it is and are aware of whether or not it's worth

Maybe this will be the start of consumers being more conscientious about their purchases from companies that are actively being crappy and screwing them over by depriving them of content across platforms. We should not reward this type of behavior.

It's these sort of practices that make me sick. The fact that Sony and Microsoft spend money in order to actively make their opponent's console a worse experience drains a lot of my faith in humanity, but the fact that they even can is what really bugs me. By the time some of this delayed DLC shows up on the

I agree with every word of this post.

True the article brought absolutely nothing new to the conversation. I was simply clarifying that the two paragraphs that you said were written by someone else was in fact written by Patrick. Also it's slender man, it hasn't even been in style to laugh at him for the past 3 years. What new did you expect? Genuinely

You do know that he was the author of the Giant Bomb article that's shown here. So yes the YouTube videos were from other people but come on. Hes telling you about a new game referencing an article he had already written on the subject. I didn't take away much from this post either but I didn't come to the comment

Oh please dont remind me of that story.... Those were two misguided kids whos parents didnt teach them the difference between reality and fiction. Its sad and just a terrible story (even though the victim survived and made a full recovery)

I don't know what these guys are saying that they have no words. The words come instantly and so clear it's like looking from the peak of Everest toward the heavens at night. God is an Indian cop, and he is fucking awesome.

Nothing on there is just "upscaled" and nothing on there is "untextured".
