I really liked that movie.  I do like soccer, so maybe that's why I was drawn to it, but it's not really about soccer at all.  Much more a character study, and the two leads (and Jim Broadbent) are fantastic.

They approached the Bears, too, a team that took Brandon Marshall from the Dolphins, depriving Hard Knocks of a potentially interesting subject.  But the Bears had no interest.

He spent the year dropping passes that drilled him in the hands.  Passes aren't going to get easier to catch in Miami.  I do agree he can play better, but I don't think the change of systems would have anything to do with it.

So, he's the Mark Rypien of dolphins?

@dah_sab:disqus Well, there are differing things because differing bodies run different events in conjunction with the IOC.  Men's Soccer, for example, is an under-23 event in the Olympics, because FIFA didn't want another international competition competing with the World Cup.  That's the model that the NBA owners

I disagree.  If you can compete and win and still retain amateur status, it's an amateur event.  The IOC doesn't pay winners.  You get the medal.  If it were a professional event, Missy Franklin wouldn't be able to swim in college, because she would lose her amateur status.  Sponsorship money is a whole separate

Yes, and all the ridiculous money that the IOC makes.  I don't make the hypocrisy, I just point out the semantics and technicalities of those describing it.

True.  A "million to one" shot that the kid lost his knife that night, only for an identical knife to be used in his father's murder, is a lot less of a coincidence if it was actually his knife used in the murder, but used by someone else who had taken it from his room, or wherever, to frame him.  And I agree that the
