Xbox Game Pass has had a rocky few months

I don’t think anyone is criticizing people for grabbing in order to win.

The hate comes from griefers who grab people while being fully intent on losing themselves, just to screw with the other person.

Yeah, how could it be bad to try and ruin other people’s fun online? Nothing that happens online matters, because it’s online.

You know that in online games, the other players are real people, right?

I’d say there’s a difference between “trying to win” and “just sabotaging people for the lulz”

This. If you want to goof around and mess with friends, that’s fine, but to anonymously mess with strangers feels kinda rude. Just because you’re not bothered by it doesn’t mean nobody will be, and you don’t know who’s on the other side of the screen.

Exactly, what the hell kind of message is “Let’s try to have as much fun as we can...by ruining someone else’s hope of winning? Because winning is meaningless and nihilism is funny?”

Being a dick in a game full of bright colors is still being a dick.  This is like saying it’s no big deal to punch someone as long as you have the Benny Hill theme playing when you do it.  

No doubt, this will be an unpopular opinion but here goes:

Sorry, no. Griefers in online games are lowlife scum. Get bent.
