Just like me, the Persona series isn’t as popular in the West as Final Fantasy, but it’s been around just as long (since 1987), and is arguably much more interesting.

So, where exactly are these examples of straw man, ad hominem, and no true scotsman? I don't see any of those being used, at all.

I've played through both. DE multiple times. I can't say I find Dear Esther anywhere near as compelling for many reasons though. None of which involve homosexuality.
