Exactly. It doesn't matter what you do. I'm a performer and my audiences are families/general public, my costume is not reveling, my show is not sexual, and I still have men shout "show us your tits".

I think a better plan would be to get the drama students to play fake clients trying to access the clinic in order to take some of the heat off of the actual patients. Maybe a couple of them could turn back and look like they're giving up to give the protesters a sense of satisfaction...maybe they could do it multiple

It's very very tricky. It's pretty much exactly the way you describe it, but with the extra hurtle of disclosure. You have to find a guy who's into you in spite of the fact that you have your original equipment but not because of it. Every guy you date has to be a hero, there is no real, man dating this dude is all

You're clearly not swearing right if Quebec French isn't more satisfying. To me putain merde just seems so soft and ineffectual. I can't take it seriously. To me a good eh ouin, je vais t'en crisser un, en tabarnak just gets the point across nicely.

Yeah, I'm American and so yeah, it seems a lot cleaner and straightforward to me. I've gotten to the point where I speak and understand French well enough that I can have conversations with Europeans (for awhile I had a difficult time understanding the accent even when I was fluent in Quebec French—although Belgium

I love the Quebec accent, I feel like it's a much more grounded form of French. I find it difficult to take French people seriously. The long exaggerated vowels often sound like baby talk to me.

Yeah, treating other humans like humans is a 'thing' now. Sorry that the world is moving too fast for you.

I logged 10's of thousands of miles on the interstate (I've driven in/through at least 40 states). I have both a deep respect for and fear of truckers. I always give safe passing distance, I slow down when I see that they're trying to pass me and I flash my lights to let them know they can come back over. I respect

Yeah, it's not the pitchfork waving clowns you need to be scared of, it's the ones who make their bullshit sound reasonable (I once listened to a state senator give a speech against gay marriage in a way that sounded calm, thoughtful, and compassionate—it fucking chilled my bones).

That's how I feel about Florida. I miss the beach, palm trees and ocean, but I'm happy to have left the people and the politics behind.

Oh man, this is great! My mom will be so happy; she didn't think I would ever fake-internet-settle-down.

Did someone say fake-internet-plural-marriage with Penabler? Are you still accepting applications? I'm good at stuff and have references.

I've lived in Ft. Lauderdale, Orlando, and Tallahassee. I'm pretty familiar with Miami, St. Pete, Clearwater, Jacksonville, Key West and to a lesser extent Daytona, Jacksonville, Sarasota, The Space Coast, and Gainsville. I've driven every mile of I95, I75, I10, and the Turnpike in the state. I feel like I have a

I'm actually able to tan (I take color very well, unlike my siblings who inherited pale Irish skin from my mom) but I'm perfectly happy to let myself go pasty in the winter. I work outside in the summer and can't avoid getting tan, even with sunscreen, but my dad (who has the same skin as me) looks like leather. I'm

I think the government has gotten way way worse than when I was a kid, but I don't know about the violence level. I think most of the coke in this country was coming through South Florida when I was growing up and the violence was really bad. Things have gentrified a lot in some places, so I'm a little less afraid to

Yeah, about 330-350 of us walked but 30-50 of those finished their degrees in night school and I went to one of the better public schools in the area. The university system is pretty good, but it's 2x as expensive as it was when I went to school.

You guys can have it. I bought a good coat and my hair looks amazing in low humidity.

This isn't snobby outside hate though. I lived in Florida until I was 22, went to school at one of its most well-known universities, lived in two of the largest metro areas and spent significant amounts of time in all the others. The crazy things that happen in Florida are crazier than the crazy things that I've seen

Just a little hyperbole to start your morning. I know that there are good people doing good things in Florida, but I've been a lot of places in the world and Florida is just a unique phenomenon (although it did seem significantly less crazy under Lawton Childs or even Charlie Christ than it does under Scott). Most of

True story—I mean there are ways to succeed in Florida, some of my friends do have good careers but my high school freshmen class started with 500 and only 3oo of us walked across the stage. For a lot of the people I went to school with doing well means a management position with benefits in the service industry.
