You know ... the US could save a lot of money by pulling out of South Korea, Germany, etc... The South Korean Armed Forces are quite capable and well-armed. Not sure why we’re still in Europe either - Russia can’t afford the fuel and ammo it would take to mount a credible attack.

Yet in the long run using 93 octane would have gotten bettern MPG but still would not have gotten you the 18mpg (maybe 10-12mpg). With the price difference between 87 and 93, you still would’ve ended up spending the same amount on gas.

It’s worth noting that the 18 MPG highway Fuel Economy rating for the truck applies to “regular gasoline,” and the owner’s manual says 87 Octane is just fine.
