The MG story reminded me of something.
The MG story reminded me of something.
My Saab has over 10 years and 170K miles under it’s belt and it’s been a faithful moose, but it’s done it’s duty as my daily . I’ll never be able to buy another car like it: Station wagon, 6spd manual, turbo V6. No one builds that car these days.
In the 70's and 80's IMSA was said, half-jokingly, to stand for International Marijuana Smugglers Association. I knew about the Pauls and Randy Lanier, but I’d never read this story before!
The 9-7x is commonly called the “Trollblazer” in the Saab community. .
It’s great the government can spend money on all this new tech.
My dad bought a new 1978 Cherokee Levi’s edition. 360 4x4 4spd. At some point early in it’s life he had it undercoated, and had it resprayed over the years. The frame and floor were solid after 13 years and 110K miles in SE Indiana.
I’m old enough to remember when people used to get dressed up to fly.
Him saying his character wasn’t developed like he was told could mean that he no longer wanted to be the butt of the “stereotypical American” jokes. He is/was a professional race car driver and while I’m sure he enjoyed the job, it probably wasn’t working out the way he expected.
Seeing the Saab NG9-5 Sport Combi makes me sad. Had Saab survived, that would have been my next new car.
Of course they don’t. The Clintons live in a world of their own. The laws that apply to us don’t apply to them. They’re above the law, untouchable.
I saw this on Facebook last week. Looking at the “fins” in the middle it looks like it may be a weird combination of skid-steering and articulation. Either way, this is my new favorite thing.
Right after I moved back to the US after 2 years abroad I bought a used 98 AWD Astro. I had purchased a house and had some work to do to it before my wife and daughter joined me and I figured the Astro would be perfect. It was. I moved drywall, lumber, 22 80lb bags of sand(that I had to hand load) and furniture.
I love my 07 9-3 Sport Combi Aero! I bought it new in July of 07 using European Delivery. I had it in Europe for a month and put 2500 miles on it! 167K miles and I still love driving it everyday, especially now that it’s boost season!
I’ve had brake failure. It’s frightening, to put it mildly.
It took some searching, but you’re right. I’d never heard of a GM 4.4L V8.
1982 Pontiac Phoenix, bastard cousin of the Citation.
4.4L V8? In the 2nd Gen Camaro 5.0, 5.7, 6.5, and 6.7 were the only V8's available. A 4.1L I6 was available.
I was very impressed by the Suburbans fuel mileage. If I had the need for a vehicle that can carry 7-8 people in style and comfort, I’d buy a Suburban or a Yukon.
It had cylinder deactivation, but on the trip up I only saw it switch into V4 mode going downhill. But I still thought 23.5mpg in a full size SUV with a 5.3L V8 was pretty good, considering that my average speed was 70+mph. It also had a 30 gallon fuel tank, so 600 miles between fill ups on the highway was pretty…
The ‘48 is currently in use at my dads place in rural Brown county, Ohio.
