If the M117/KE-Jetronic is running at all, it probably won’t take too much cash to make it run well. Yes, the KE-Jet is fiddly, but there is expertise out there (one of the designers hangs out on the BenzWorld 126 forum), and they’re not totally intractable.

Thank you. In general, you should never remove a helmet unless you absolutely have to - and ‘absolutely have to” means, as you say, “airway is blocked and patient is not breathing”. Otherwise, it’s doing a good job of stabilizing the head, so let it! Let the ER doc remove the helmet after he gets pictures to see

Good advice. One comment: Only take off their helmet if they can do it themselves or if you need access because they’re not breathing. Otherwise, you increase the risk of spinal compromise.

Sorry. A Vette and a Cobra are just plain different cars. This mashup, though it seems to be well executed, is still just Wrong.

It fits in his life just fine. It’s a British Jeep that isn’t running. If David was going to diversify from the Americans, this would be the logical next step.

The CRX is a fun, floggable little car that you’ll get a smile out of. This one’s in nice shape and doesn’t look like it’d been gotten ahold of by the ricer crowd. NP.

The 129 doesn’t touch my soul the way the 107 does, which is why I have a 1987 560SL instead of one of these. Still, it’s a lovely car, and if I had unlimited funds and space, I’d love to get my hands on either a 300SL with a stick or an S600 (preferably post-wiring harness).

The upkeep isn’t bad, at all, as long as you stay away from the 1994-1995 versions with the wiring harness that tended to degrade with time and make sure to get one with the top hydraulics all sorted out, preferably recently.

I generally don’t support the Ford Motor Company with my money in any way, shape, or form, even indirectly...and that includes buying used Fords, which helps keep their price up, which makes them more desirable to buy and therefore induces people to buy them new.

The issue is that the radio spectrum is a finite resource, and so who uses it, with what technical parameters, where, and for how long, are valid subjects for regulation. What you do with that spectrum is your business, as long as you use it for the proper service. It’s not proper for you to broadcast in the fire

Yech bleagh. Pull the wrap off of it, put some reasonable-sized wheels with tires thicker than rubber bands, and you’d have something worth buying. As it is, the Armada gets terrible marks for its handling, ride, and fuel economy (or lack thereof), and a Lexus LX or JX is a much better deal. CP.

Because the US Army thinks so.

Same as ours, I would expect.

What makes you think that American citizens can’t make up grenades? Or IEDs? Or even convert weapons to full auto in extremis? (Though, personally, I’d stay with single shot aimed fire, which is consistently more deadly.)

Anyone who thinks that someone calling Donald Trump a Nazi means they are calling him a literal Nazi doesn’t understand what simple comparisons are.”

If a gun is stolen and then a crime committed with it, why are you blaming the victim of the theft for the crime? If someone steals a car and then commits a crime with that, nobody blames the car’s owner, much less tries to hang liability for the crime on them.

Yes, it’s illegal for you to run a irate broadcast station - because freedom of the press doesn’t mean you get to steal the paper to print it on.

And considering the wide range of things that are accepted as ID, *and* that the voter is allowed to cast a provisional ballot even without one *and* that voter ID is the law in (far too, IMAO) few places, your objection simply isn’t of the same class. Nobody’s saying people should be denied the right to vote, only

I am reading 10 USC 311:

The top on my 560SL stays down all the time (and putting it up when it’s below about 40 F runs a big risk of cracking the vinyl windows. Ask me how I know.), but I don’t drive it when I need to wear more than a light windbreaker. By the time you get those crisp cold days when the sky’s gloriously clear and the
