And a Guenther Steiner cameo!

They have 15, which I noted in the article. Please read before commenting.

You have 5 stars for not reading where it says, “they have fifteen”. Underlined, because there’s a link. RTMF article. C’mon, people....

It is honestly too much of a learning curve for many.

The thing that gets me is the hypocrisy! Make up your mind! You’re mad when they break and you’re mad when they don’t brake!

Those of us that keep our cars forever will understand this the most: pick the color you really want, even if it costs extra. Sure, it sucks that most automakers now charge extra for the “good colors”, but are you really going to miss that measly $495 upcharge every time you stare at your car for the next 15-20 years

There’s upside and downside to fleet driver, opens new tab, monitoring. It provides a certain ammount of protection for the employee, opens new tab, as much as a panopticon, opens new tab, for the employer.

As a person who’s owned a Macan and owns a 911 (997.2) in addition to my Tesla Model 3 Performance, here is my take on it.

Prius counterpoint: I just did a ~3400 mile roadtrip in my 2017. Much of it was done at ~80mph through places like Texas.

When an EV owner connects to the electric grid, how much are they paying for the extra generation, transmission, and distribution costs that they are imposing on the grid, and will those embedded costs rise over time?

I was going to say the same thing. There has to be some math that lobbyists got put into the CAFE standards at some point to get way more credit than deserved for the auto manufacturers. 107 MPGe is still awesome and way more efficient than ICE cars. But why would we say 380 MPGe? That’s crazy.

If Jalopnik were around when they introduced seat belts or airbags, I imagine the comment sections would have looked exactly like this one.

That’s the goal.... Not having that super high spike of energy draw at around 5 PM when people get home when you have to fire up extra generators and etc to meet the demand.

That is actually the goal, ideally we would have perfectly level energy demand through the day....

Nobody is saying you have to do EVERYTHING by bike. I commute to work on a bike and my kids ride to school on their bikes. But I still go to the grocery store in my car. It’s not a 100% either-or proposition.

2nd: I get it, it seems the goal posts are moving for EV credit eligibility.

lol ICE guys will type so much about experience they don’t have

Also consider buying Canadian made. Send us your sweet greenbacks so we can buy maple syrup for our children!
