Good points all around. You’re right, the S550 will always be playing catchup to the new Camaro in FS, and I don’t think there are any significant suspension changes to the non-PP2 to change that. Ultimately it’s a question of what your goals are - if you feel like you can be competitive locally and that’s your goal,

Maybe ford performance will sell them in a different color like they do the PP wheels now?

I bet. I actually don’t know how taller people get a good seating position in these. I’m 5’ 8” and I have the seat bottomed out and I still wish it could go a little lower

Yeah. Mine looks like the first owner commuted exclusively behind gravel trucks. Front bumper is just covered in chips, hood was too, even the rear quarters had a few. It ain’t pretty up close, but it was cheap so I can’t complain too much

It is a current gen mustang, this is just a facelift. Though I don’t know why you think the current one is “cramped”, it’s a pretty spacious cabin I think. Maybe not on par with a sedan of a similar footprint, but for a 2 seater (just forget the back seats) it’s pretty comfortable with 2 people.

For autocross there’s no chance in hell the PP2 cars stay in FS. I’m guessing they’ll go to AS with the SS 1LE.

The bumper looks better in person, but the hood looks worse IMO. And the headlights leave a lot to be desired - the whole side is just an empty black spot with a little mustang logo in it. The hood vents are especially hideous, they look even more stuck on than the ‘15-’17 GT.

I can’t really speak to the previous generation of the Mustang or Camaro, I’ve driven both but it’s been a long time and they were only test drives. I have owned two of the current Mustang, a non-performance package Ecoboost and now a performance package GT - the GT PP handles noticeably flatter and sharper than the

Just have to be careful I guess. I got my current Mustang with 32,000 miles on it and it doesn’t feel like it’s been beaten up too bad, other than the paint which wasn’t particularly well taken care of. The interior was perfect and mechanically I’ve only had one issue and, to be fair, I probably caused it.

To be fair, the Coyote doesn’t feel as torquey as its LT1 or LS3 competitors. Heck, down low it doesn’t even really feel as torquey as the 4 cylinder ecoboost. Between shifts, though, and when the RPM is over 3400 or so, it’s got plenty.

It’s not that hard to see out of this platform of Mustang IMO. I’ve owned two. I’ll concede the driving position point, you can’t really sit very low. “Bunker” it is not, but it’s fairly high for what it is.

So he could impress us by being edgy in the comments

In my experience I’ve found this to be the case for most supercars. I think it’s just something about the length and width combined with the generally lower height that makes them looks significantly larger in pictures and video than a standard car.

I just came here to say Mr. JWW is one of my favorite car youtubers at the moment. I feel like his videos are high quality and balanced well between car and lifestyle, and seeing him experience this was exciting. He seems like a genuinely nice guy, and this was clearly a big moment for him and I’m glad he shared it so

Even the most accurate plane movies occasionally make this mistake. Sully, which was fantastic and avoided most goofs, showed an overhead shot of an airport where you could spot a 737-800 with split-scimitar winglets, which hadn’t yet hit the market at the time of the events depicted.

My vote would be for every ‘airplane takes off then lands to indicate travel’ scene in every movie or tv show ever because 99.999% of the time they don’t use the same plane, or even the same airline. Couple it with showing one plane’s exterior and then an interior that doesn’t match...just terrible.

As I understand it design patents are really easy to get around. Had Mercedes patented the pictured design I don’t think the “copy” would have legal issues. It looks similar, sure, but it doesn’t look exactly the same.

I don’t think we’ll see a rotary from Mazda that isn’t just a range extender for an EV, period.

Nah, you can see the kid in black’s hand like a frame later on his left side. I play basketball frequently (not well, mind you), there’s no chance he could put that sort of spin and power on it in the frames we see.

It’s my best guess anyways. I’ve watched it so many times....you can see the kid in the yellow does come down with the ball, to about shoulder height, before letting go. If you look at the shadow of the basket any shadow from the ball would be in the direction the kid is blocking.
